Indiana Jones will return to the big screen on July 19, 2019, for a fifth epic adventure in the blockbuster series. Steven Spielberg, who directed all four previous films, will helm the as-yet-untitled project with star Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role. Franchise veterans Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce.

He's 73. Damn, I hope I'm doing as well at his age.

It's a nice parallel, with both Indiana Jones and Nathan Drake coming to the end of their series.

After the disaster of 4, I have no hope for this.
and was the last time that Spielberg directed a movie that was slightly better than ok? Its like the last 20 yeas all his movies were "ok", followed a same story arc etc etc.. Minority Report is the only one that stands out to me. War of the Worlds could have been easily directed by M Night Shamalamadingdong.

Bridge the of Spies got great reviews. I agree, the rest has been average.

I believe just about every SS moive gets great reviews( I could be wrong) but they just feel a little empty and predictable. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of what he has done.

Harrison stayed relevant in Hollywood by being so warm and approachable.

Do we really need another one? I guess it'll be good to give Shia some work too. That boy really does need to be thrown a lifeline.

...MIXED FEELINGS!

There is nothing I can do but hope it's good, honestly. As much as I don't care so much for Transformers, I think Shia gets a bum rap. He does have a certain charisma. I think they need to write him in there better this time. Omitting him now and ignoring that character would be weak, IMO. Something along the lines of a reverse of Last Crusade would probably be a good idea, IMO. Don't try to make an old-ass Indy do too many stunts, please!! It just won't work now. He needs to be the brains (pretend it isn't foggy, anyway).

well if you read story's all the dumb s*** in the last movie was lucas ideas. no idea why Spielberg did not push back as he curry's a lot of power but it seems Lucas got his way.

Maybe it will start with Harrison telling a story and will flashback to young Indy...played by Haden Christensen.

We’re working away, getting the script where we want it to be and then we’ll be ready to go. Harrison Ford will be involved, yeah. It’s not a reboot; it’s a continuation. He can’t wait.

None of us can wait, he'll be 80 at their current pace of getting this going.
