Insomniac Defies Jim Ryan And Sony’s Muzzle, Bungie Follows, CEO/co-founder Pete Parsons Speaks Out

I still don't get why they think they need to be heard from at a studio level, they have no control over the situation. It's all a bunch of attention seeking "hey look at me" crap that social media encourages. As far as individuals, they should either keep the company name out of their twitter bio or if they insist on commenting on politics etc they should have two separate accounts, one that's used for their professional side and one for private. Many of the game devs I follow are obnoxious and call people who disagree with them all kinds of names the second they are challenged on anything even if it's done in a respectful manner.

I'm pro choice, I am not waiting around to hear Bungie or Sucker Punches take on it to validate my own thoughts on the subject lol.

Maybe because they’re hiring and want it to be know what their environment is like?

Is that want they want or are they just looking for something internal in order to gauge how their employer feels about it.

I’m not waiting to hear anyones opinion on it, but the more that speak out the better. It’s all welcome.
But you are old..as are most on this forum it seems. The young ones lap up corporate takes on society issues.

Speaking out on twitter against a supreme court ruling is meaningless though, it's super lazy. Yeah enough people making noise on twitter when they are upset at a single person can get them fired and it can get some companies to change their own policies but it's not going to have any impact on this. We have polling that already shows a majority are pro choice, this kind of thing doesn't need to be tweeted about by a company and it surely shouldn't be discussed at work.

The bottom line is Sony is doing right by their employees who may live in states that plan on banning abortion they don't need to make a public statement when they are only in business to sell products not give life lessons.

I am for any and all companies speaking for or against things I believe in or am against as long as it’s genuine. I feel it is genuine here. I am ok with it. What you’re advocating is companies never say anything about anything.

Companies aren't people, even if Sony makes a statement, it doesn't mean everyone who works there feels that way it means the higher ups are looking for good PR. I don't trust corporations, hell they are the ones behind corrupt politicians lol but I don't look to any company for guidance on how I should feel about a certain topic and I don't feel like my view is better supported because Sony, MS or Disney's PR teams agrees with me.

Neither do I, but like I said earlier, the more that speak out the better.
