I honestly thought this was a delayed April fools joke by Nvidia. As an owner of SLI Titan XPs I was kind of confused and thinking this had to be a joke....

I was wrong.

Nvidia delivers new and improved Titan Xp—3,840 cores, 550GB/s memory bandwidth
Full-fat GP102 Pascal in a consumer card; same cost as previous Titan X. On sale today.

Nvidia has quietly released the Titan Xp, an updated version of 2016's Pascal Titan X which was colloquially and soon confusingly referred to as the Titan XP. The new Titan Xp is available directly from Nvidia for £1,160 or $1,200—the same price that last year's Titan X launched at. Delivery time is listed as "1-3 working days."

The new Titan Xp finally features a full-fat Pascal GP102 GPU, with all 3,840 CUDA cores unlocked. Last year's Titan X and the recently released GTX 1080 Ti only have 3,584. Previously, the only way to get your hands on GP102 was to pick up a Quadro P6000 card for a few thousand bucks. Memory speed on the Titan Xp has been increased over last year's Titan, from 10GHz up to 11.4GHz. Max boost clock has also been bumped up slightly from 1,531MHz to 1,582MHz.

The amount of memory stays the same at 12GB of GDDR5X RAM; the 384-bit memory bus width returns, too. Thanks to the memory speed increase, though, max bandwidth is a monstrous 547.7GB/sec—higher even than original HBM.

Other than that, there isn't a whole lot to say about the Titan Xp. Clearly the GTX 1080 Ti was a little too close to the Titan X at almost half the price, and so Nvidia needed a new range-topper. It also seems that Nvidia has dropped the "GTX" prefix for the Titan Xp, which might be an indicator that this new card isn't aimed at gamers—or it might just be a marketing goof.

I'm kind of done with Nvidia cards now. Switching to team red for my next build.
So now there are 3 Titan Cards with the 'X' naming.

Titan X (based on the Maxwell line)

Titan XP (based on the Pascal line)

Titan Xp (also based on the Pascal line)

Like WTF is going on over at Nvidia? This is just ridiculous. :txbmad::smash:

A lot of people were pissed off when Nvidia launched the OG Titan and then a year later released Titan Black (Full fledged GK110) now Titan X came out I believe in August and then they release the full fledged GP102 LESS THAN A YEAR LATER?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Nvidia has completely lost their s***. AMD need to put out something competitive ASAP because this is the kinda BS that happens when there isn't.

Yeah it doesn't make any f***ing sense. I mean i was already irked by the 1080ti and now another Titan Xp that is the same card as the 2 i have but is essentially a higher clocked full version!??

And it costs the same amount for what i paid less than a year ago...

Get the f*** out of here with that bulls*** Nvidia...

Everyone knew the 1080 Ti was coming though, I don't think anyone expected another TItan X though

True. I'm not even really all that pissed about the 1080ti. This though is ridiculous. Like what the f*** are they thinking. I would've waited. This s*** just bleeds greed. AMD it is.

I switched to AMD for the RX480. First AMD card since the ATI Rage lol. Doubt I would go back to nVidia.
