Invited to spark beta?

So I check my email this afternoon, and I have a invite to Project Spark beta via W8. Check on twitter turns out someone illegally sent the invite.
So I'm wondering if the invite is legit1? 2 if its not does the person have access to my personal stuff connected to the email address?http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/app/project-spark/735aaf10-e354-4645-9cb4-c9f2fc391ec5

I don't know much about e-fraud/hacking so someone will probably contradict me, but I can't see how someone sending you an invite could allow them access to any personal information linked with your e-mail account.

Twitter said a bunch of stolen ones were sent out to W8 phone, the same day I got mine. I don't believe in coincidence.
