The man makes a lot of sense and I tend to agree with him, even though I'll end up with both consoles sooner or laterNow that I've moved over to gaming primarily on PC (at least 95% of my gaming) I have little interest in these next consoles. Perhaps when there are more PS4 exclusive titles I'll pick one up but for the next year or so I'll stick to my PC. Not to mention all this talk lately of SteamOS, SteamBox and the AMD Mantle stuff I may just stick with PC gaming until the PS4 hits that magical $200 mark.
yeah I'm already ready for next next generation where all console games can finally operate at 60fps at 1080p on my decade old HD tvs , of course when Consoles do finally get there we'll be buying 4K tvs.
No, probably not. I think 4k is going to go over with the public like 3d tv did. There will be some mild interest from the enthusiasts, but the general public will not see the benefit. Right now people only have 1080p TV's if their old one burned out in the last 3 years. I think the enthusiasts will move on to Occulus Rift or some similar technology. Then you get your big tv experience in a virtual movie theater, on a virtual 100' screen if you want to be that close.
Or the constant bickering back and forth and mudslinging..kind of ruins the hype and excitementA few months ago when the systems were announced I was a lot more excited. Now however, my interest has cooled significantly, maybe it has to do with just the Ho-hum launch titles or the diminishing returns of each new generation.
What the hell does 'end cycle' mean? Not being snarky. I'm old school and I don't recall this concept of 'launch window' ever being discussed prior to Xbox 360, so to me it generally means the first 90 days or so following launch.Launch window = Anything from launch date to end cycle depending on who you ask.
