Nooooo!!!!

Disney have Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus blacklisted for flashing their tits on film!

Now I'll NEVER get to see The Princess Diaries 3!!!

:'(

Not sure you would want Disney in charge of Deadpool...

So Fantastic 4 and Xmen would be with Marvel then.

X-men 100%. Fantastic Four rights are with some german company that Fox has a deal with to make movies. With Fox out of the way it would be easy to implement the same deal assuming it isnt part and parcel with the acquisitions already.

IMO, the biggest parts of the deal are X-Men going to Marvel Studios and the publishing rights to all Star Wars movies before Episode VII to distribute in theaters, as well as home video rights.

Despite The Walt Disney Company's 2012purchase of Lucasfilm Ltd. and the release rights to all future Star Wars films, Fox still retains original distribution rights to Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which they co-produced and co-financed, in perpetuity in all media worldwide. Fox also retains theatrical, nontheatrical, and home video rights worldwide for the franchise's five subsequent films, which Lucasfilm produced and financed independently, through May 2020, at which time ownership will transfer to Disney. This complex relationship between Fox and Disney, particularly in regards to Fox's perpetual rights to Episode IV, creates an obstacle for any future boxed set comprising all nine films.

In my mind Fox’s X-Men ended with Logan and I was happy with that ending. I can’t wait to see what Disney does with X-Men.

Deadpool is $$$ and Kevin Feige (the Phil Spencer of Marvel) said he respects the movies success because it did what the fans wanted. It can be stand alone or cross over into Xmen and never interfere with the avengers if need be.

They should do a 1 man show of Cable vs Thanos.

(And Johnny Storm vs Captain America)

More I thought about it. Would be awesome if Disney got Hugh Jackman to come back and play Wolverine in the MCU.

Logan actor Hugh Jackman would have kept playing Wolverine if X-Men crossed over with Avengers. Logan may be Hugh Jackman's final hurrah as Wolverine, but the actor has revealed the one thing that may have convinced him to keep on playing the popular X-Men character

It's official

The Walt Disney Company to Acquire Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc., after Spinoff of Certain Businesses, for $52.4 Billion in Stock
21st Century Fox to spin off Fox Broadcasting network and stations, Fox News, Fox Business, FS1, FS2 and Big Ten Network to its shareholders

  • Acquisition complements and enhances The Walt Disney Company’s ability to provide consumers around the world with more appealing content and entertainment options
  • Transaction to include 21st Century Fox’s film and television studios, cable entertainment networks and international TV businesses
  • Popular entertainment properties including X-Men, Avatar, The Simpsons, FX Networks and National Geographic to join Disney’s portfolio
  • Expands Disney’s direct-to-consumer offerings with addition of 21st Century Fox’s entertainment content, capabilities in the Americas, Europe and Asia; Hulu stake becomes a controlling interest
  • Addition of extensive international properties, including Star in India and Fox’s 39% ownership of Sky across Europe, enhances Disney’s position as a truly global entertainment company with world-class offerings in key regions
  • Robert A. Iger to remain Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company through 2021

Could... Could Disney actually make The Simpsons good again??

Sony still leases spiderman and Universal has the distribution rights to standalone Hulk and Namor movies, but otherwise everything is Disney

Say goodbye to a lot of your Netflix content. They also now own a majority stake in Hulu now. Disney will charge a premium for their streaming service.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Hulu became Disney’s new streaming network with a new name or tier :’( which I’ll be ok with it, got Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll and Prime.

Now we need Disney to buyout a few anime studios, eastern and western. Maybe just Funimation to keep dubs on a steady flow of production.
