Where is the " Not sure next gen is worth getting right away" option ? cause that is how I'm feeling on the subject.
I don't even know if it's fair to include Nintendo in this, that's all they do essentially.
To be honest its silly to moan at one and not the others. Every publisher has its go to IP's that they go back to a lot and why? Because they sell.
And Sony probably milked IP's more than the other 2 this gen

1. DR3 and Killer Instinct look amazing.
2. Live is more reliable in my experience.
3. Better possibility for dedicated servers.
4. Family man so Kinect for the family.
5. Voice/SmartGlass features for changing channels etc.
6. Console franchise I like the most=Halo.
Will most likely get a PS4 down the road, especially if Demons Souls 2 is ever a thing and if Deep Down remains exclusive for the long haul and it's close to the Soul's games greatness.

PS4 as PSN plus will also benefit my PSVita soon Vita Tv. Plus I want to continue the franchises I played on PS3 on PS4 such as God of war, uncharted, Killzone and maybe even The Last of Us
Xbox One only, I have bought other systems and end up selling them, I pretty much only game on my 360 so I am sure the the One will be the same.
I might not get it on launch, my fiancee is begging me to wait till after Xmas, im sure she will give me a gift card towards it so I will most likely wait till January. Ghosts, Madden and GTA on my 360 will hopefully make the wait a little easier but its still going to kill me not having this at launch.

I'm not getting either console at launch. My backlog is just too big. I also want to know what is going to happen with Gears next gen. I logged a lot of hours playing Horde Mode. I really enjoy. If Gears goes multiplatform then it'll probably be PS4 then.
But by the time I start looking both systems should have decent libraries. I could end up with both like this gen as well.

X1. Better games, more games, all the cable stuff and Kinect 2 is bonus. I can spare an extra $100. Quality first.
I'm going to "try" and wait until a bit after launch to gauge peoples overall impressions and then get the system that garners the most favor first. It'd be nice to get both systems to enjoy the exclusives which I missed out on this generation by not buying the PS3.
Ow wow! Kind of surprising numbers in the poll. X1 looks to be the preferred console right now even at a 100$ difference.
As Anderson said "we're pretty balanced here" mate, despite it being an Xbox forum. I'll follow the numbers to see how things progress.
I'm just basing it off pure numbers. Look at how many threads are in the PlayStation forum compared to Xbox. Follow that up with the numbers of who took what in the Giveaway. We're not a full Xbox site by any means, but we're not 50/50 either. 60/40 at best.
Xbox forum has roughly four times more posts than the Sony forums. I agree with you that its not a full Xbox forum though. I would say its more of a Xbox and Multi-platform forum based on the forums totals for each category.
I wanted to add that while i liked TXB forums, i love what Plainview and others have created here.
This site pretty much has all the TXB regulars and on that site the polls went in the PS4's favor.
Getting the X1. This current gen I had both but hardly ever used the PS3 because most multiplatform games I'd get for the 360. I mostly wanted the PS4 for a blu-ray player. I did enjoy games like the Uncharted series and The Last of Us but not really interested in most of their exclusives. This time around the X1 will have blu-ray and I mostly stream tv/movies anyway. Never say never though, I could end up getting a PS4 eventually too.

It used to seem to me that consoles were cheaper than buying PC Gaming machines, but I think the price gap has been closing. I could probably be happy even with a decent gaming Laptop playing an MMO.

I would get both like I have now but starting with the one and will get the ps4 sometime next year.
Xbox One, Microsoft may have fumbled early but there is a whole game to be played, and I like to play their games with their controller.
