Jay Pinkerton Leaves Valve

Never heard of him. The only thing I know that Valve does is Steam. Do they make games anymore?
 
Yeah, they're making too much money with services to bother with games. I wish they'd farm out Half Life to someone else, so we can get a proper (or even improper) conclusion to the series.

Do we know who wrote the Half Life story and who the lead on the original games were?

I don't, no. I'm sure a whole team was responsible for the atmosphere, gameplay, art direction, and everything that went into making Half Life so unique.

Seems its time has come and gone. How strange that such a popular franchise would die on the vine like that.
 
Don't want to hear about Valve unless it involves Half Life 3. Get it together already.
 
...and people cry that Microsoft has no games...
 
I don't think Valve would ever sell the IP because it's in their back pocket in case Steam ever gains competition. 2 things:
  • Don't underestimate competition regardless of which platform you currently prefer
  • Someone should gather up these Valve devs to create another game...something akin to how Bioshock was a System Shock successor
