Jimquisition - Children of the Resolution

<3 Jim. Caught an episode of Jimquisition a couple months back and immediately watched them all and subbed to his channel. I tend to agree with just about everything he says, even if I don't like it. Another great episode and of course I was digging the PC remarks a whole lot.

Some interesting points. Some just stupid.

I think there is just a lot of speculative conclusions being drawn. It's not known the XB1 will never hit 1080p. The PS3 overcame some big dev bottlenecks and the games look great.

I can argue that XB1 is the better designed machine in just the way it snaps between apps and integrates with TV. It all depends on what your definition of power is.

It's $100 more because it has the kinect feature. I've paid more than that for Harmony remotes that weren't voice controlled!

To me its what you want. XB1 is this integrated approach while PS4 is more of a traditional console.

at launch, I want horsepower > user experience personally. I want to pay the premium price because of horsepower preferably.

on the resolution stuff though he is right imo. still comes down tot he games, but it is pathetic that the xb1 is struggling with 1080p games.

There was a reason he was showing game play of Titanfall btw.

Your money, your choices Zombies. I won't argue that.

I just think there's a lot of speculation based on resolutions. I mean even the developers have told us they didn't think resolution was an issue. So this is just me-- but it seems silly to say the XB1 won't be 1080 when really we just don't know. Maybe it is as simple as Devs didn't think anyone would care so they used their resources elsewhere and just used the scaler. Maybe the resolution has less to do with the power of the XB1 than developer decisions.
