It would be so weird if DC fumbled with the Justice League, but starts to find some success in horror. They're in an awkward point where a next character to bring out is Supergirl, but that would be after Captain Marvel comes out.

What if instead, they could look into a solo film for Lobo.

WB have been looking to do lobo for a long time. Last bit of news was Michael bay of all people directing it

It's good that Phoenix do a different style Joker.
I'm actually hyped now. I consider Joaquin a fantastic actor and honestly can't think of a better actor at the moment... maybe Cameron Monaghan would've been a better choice for playing a pure dc joker, but I'm liking this take on him.

Really like that teaser and great to get it out the way before it leaks

I can’t wait to see a trailer to get a feel of his performance. I think he could pull this off and make it interesting, but will the overall film be good is another question.

Please let this be good enough to reboot the whole damn DC franchise.

So I found out a friend of mine is going to be in this. So anything I say is legit, but I don’t want to get them in trouble so I won’t say much. But so far I can say this:

-It takes place in 1981

-Today they are shooting a scene in a comedy club (which I believe there is an origin storyline about the Joker being a failed comic...?). I’m Just speculating on that part.

-Everything is very hush-hush. The actors didn’t even know what movie they were being cast for, and aren’t told much until they show up on scene.

Leto's acting as the joker was good but he looked like s***. I'm thinking this will be the same.
Ledger was the best looking and acted Joker with Cease Romero being second (with age taken into consideration).

Apparently his real name is Arthur and...

It seems like they are going with the ‘failed comic’ storyline

I like the tone of the trailer and Phoenix looks like he’s going all in on the character, but will this be an interesting enough origin story to a character we never really needed to know the backstory. Plus no Batman.

Looks like they are putting a very different spin on it which could really work. I'm guessing the origin story is more central to this version of the Joker.

Definitely going a very different direction, but I think that could work seeing as this is a stand-alone movie.
