KI Season 3: Rash from Battletoads playable today

Wasn't Val saying just last week MS was done with this series?
 
Well I was going to go for a bike ride after work... but I think I'd rather just play this.

Been saying he constantly misrepresents and distorts facts about KI, but no one listens.
 
I said I was done and I didn't want a season 3 instead wanted a KI4.

...and I wanted a new new SF Alpha game instead of SF 5.

We don't always get what we want, but there is still no reason to drop a deuce at every possible mention of Killer Instinct. You've been doing it for months now.

I am a forgiving person.
After the disappointment that was season 2...(that I payed for which gives me a right to have a opinion on it) I was open to see what s3 had in store and low and behold the series is getting even stranger.
Quit being fanboys and respect my feelings towards the direction of the series.

Also don't go off topic and mention a pro/serious fighting game like sf5 cause feelings will get hurt when we compare such a stellar franchise to a average one.
 
I loved this news, I wouldn't even mind if the doors opened for more Microsoft characters. It would be almost like a smash bros lite. :).
 
Alright Zcythe, where are the impressions? I know you've played it!!!

Ha ha, yes I have. I'll see if I can record some clips of him tonight.

My impressions at this point are that he's definitely early, but it's obvious some passion has gone into him and they've had fun. There are nice, fun little details such as the descriptions in the move list, his animations are pretty much everything you'd expect from a battletoad, and his during his win pose he says, "Man these cameos are killing me." :laugh: Oh, and for his instinct he whistles and calls in his hover bike to crash into his opponent.

Areas where it is obvious that he's still being worked on is basically his move set and how they work inside the combo system. It's possible that it's intentionally limited, but I don't think so. He has a good amount of specials: his giant boot kick, his wrecking ball, head ram, he has two target combos, and he can shoot out his tongue to pull him places or "eat" projectiles. However, he has only one opener and linker, and both sets of animations are the same for lights, mediums, or heavy. This will make him easy to read and break in his current form. Also, he doesn't really have an Ultra combo, but instead just hits them with a giant punch.

All in all, he is very true to the character and quite fun, but he'll need more to be competitive. That's what's great about KI's community driven development though, the team will take our feedback and improve.

Well, there are only a few returning character options left. It's pretty much a given that Kim Wu, Tusk, and Gargos are going to return. Not sure about Eyedol.
 
They did a EXCELLENT job with Jason and The Predator.
LOL.

Yeah they sure did a good job. The accuracy is amazing. Making Jason running and doing moves at light speed, jumping, doing combos, crouching and blocking were all well known moves he did in the movies. lol. I must have watched the wrong movies as every one I saw had Jason slow, doing drab (but funny) slashes, impalements and power punches, never blocked, never ducked and the only movement he did was walking. At least they got his looks and machete right.

As for Predator, the majority of his moves and attacks in the movies are from range and often under that camo stealth ability. In the game, they make him a hand to hand melee fighter doing lightning quick combo attacks with mostly his hands and feet. Again, not the usual kinds of attacks from Predator. But he does look like Predator and makes the same kinds of alien grunt sounds.

So to recap, Jason and Pred look like the real chracters, but act and fight nothing like them.
