Does anyone else take their dog to a groomer? I used to give Heidi baths etc at home but since I had to move into the apartment there is no place to do that here so I have to take her to a groomer. I hate her being out of my control for 4 hours lol, I always worry something bad will happen if I'm not there to watch over her, I'm a bit of a control freak I guess. The people are nice to her but today when I took her in they had the front doors wide open and that was bugged me, yes they have two like 3 foot gates in front of the doors and another gate that height that's between the front desk area and the back area where they take them but a medium to large dog could easily clear those if they got loose. Oh well she's back at home now and won't have to go back there for a little while but damn it really does bug me when I can't be there to watch her lol.

Would a mobile groomer, where they come to you, help alleviate some of that “range” anxiety?

I've seen one in the parking lot here before, there are almost 300 units here and a lot of dogs so she must get a lot of business. I just hope she's actually up for it, she's a bit of a hefty girl and bathing dogs all day and everything that goes along with it can be pretty taxing lol.

This isn't really an awe cute thing but we were just told there was a mountain lion spotted on the premises a few days ago, I didn't think they made it this far over, we are closer to the coast and not too far inland. There are hills here and we have coyotes, I've heard them howling at night a few times and saw one trotting up the driveway a couple of weeks ago, he turned and saw my truck coming and just jumped out of the drive and into the hilly area that runs alongside that side of the complex. I'm not worried about coyotes when I take heidi out, she's a little bigger than they are and I figure the two of us together would keep them from trying anything, nobody else has had an attack here even with their small dogs.

A mountain lion is another can of worms though, hopefully he/she has moved on. I've seen hawks, crows, owls, the coyote, a lot of lizards, we have signs warning about rattlesnakes and the swallows just left after nesting on the walls and crapping all over the place lol so it's a bit like wild kingdom here lol even saw a road runner a few times, poor ugly thing looked confused lol. We even have an equestrian center across the street and cows grazing on the hills next to the parking lot and I occasionally hear frogs and unfortunately saw an opossum tonight as well. Sadly the green hill in this pic is mostly brown now, I took that picture in April and everything was greener back then. 20210430_123320.jpg20210324_101712.jpg20210304_120224.jpg
