Kittens, Puppies, Animals = Dawwwws.....

From time to time I think about how I should have had you fly your puppy here so he could be with me. 🥺
He's with a great young couple, they send me pics and update me on how he's doing. The guy was in the marines and based at camp Pendleton when they got him but he has since finished up with that and they've moved to Texas. I knew they'd be a good fit when they came to meet him, the husband wanted Boomer so bad he was getting on the ground in the backyard trying to get Boomer to play with him but the big goofball was being shy and just came and sat by me. The place they are staying right now has a lot of land and horses and donkeys etc so Boomer gets to bark at them instead of people walking by lol. I miss that big goofball.

Saw a video over the weekend of some scumbag abandoning his husky on the side of the road. It was running after his car as he drove away. Infuriated me.

Well I saw the mountain lion that's been reported by other tenants in the complex the other night. I took Heidi out to do her business for the last time before bed around 11:30, we usually go to the closest small lawn they have for dogs which is probably a 30 second walk from the bottom of the stairs. She was sniffing around and had done the first of two things lol and I happened to look up and saw this silhouette of a large cat walking behind the hedges and Heidi had just noticed it then too because she started whining and pulling in the direction like she wanted to go after it. It didn't look to be a huge one, probably about Heidi's size and she's around 65lbs but it was just crazy seeing that. It was an odd place for it to walk too it has about a foot there at best before it hits the edge of the hill that goes down about 30 feet to street level, it's not a straight drop but it's a pretty good slant. I checked the next day to see if there were any tracks but the dirt in that spot is too hard. I talked to one of the maintenance guys today and he said that was the same area other people had said that they had seen one.

I hope they catch it, at that size it's easier to miss and they tend to be more aggressive when they are younger too. When I take her at night I do take this cane that has a stun gun on the bottom of it, not sure if that'd do anything more than piss it off but hopefully the noise would scare it. The thought of having to try to fight something like that away while still keeping Heidi safe and not letting her run away doesn't sound like much fun lol. Hopefully they either catch it or he just gets further up into the hills and finds some deer to chase.
