Kittens, Puppies, Animals = Dawwwws.....

Almost adopted a dog last week. He was a cool dog. Pit lab mix. I thought about it over the weekend and didn’t feel he was the right fit. Also, completely forgot that pits, rotties, and German shepherd are specifically no no’s as far as my home owners insurance goes. 🥺

I get pits and MAYBE Rots but Shepherds shouldn't be on those lists even though for some companies they are. I know they can be aggressive but if you have a good fence and are responsible as far as not leaving doors open etc you should be fine. Shepherds are often used for service dogs, I wonder if they make exceptions for them in that case? just wondering "out loud" there lol.

What breed are you thinking of getting? Labs are good but are high energy for a long time, huskies will run if they ever get out and they LOVE to dig. It's crazy the apartments I'm at right now they have every dog here that's on their not allowed list and the weight limit is 35lbs but I'd have to say at least 80% of the dogs I see here are bigger than that, most are bigger than Heidi and she's probably around 60lbs.

I don't know what breed exactly. It's really down to the personality. I've always wanted a husky since I was a kid. There was one by me, but he was very pully on a leash. I want a doggo that is smart and eager to train, cuddly, and goofy.

I love my two huskies, wouldn't trade them for anything. But I can't explain to people how much work they are. They shed like crazy, dig holes everywhere, and are stubborn as hell.

Even with all that, the pack bond they develop with you is unreal. When I come home from work you would think I was gone for a year

Yeah, I know how much work they are and their personalities. It what makes me hesitant even though I want one bad. It's tough though.

Just dropped like $500 on dog stuff. This little s*** better be worth it! 🤣

I'm going today with the intention of bringing him home. Met him this past weekend and fell in love with him. Thought he was already adopted out as he disappeared from their site, but it was because they had a lot of applications for him.

Lol, get ready the $$ never ends but they are worth it. Post some pics when you get him home.

Had got the Furbo and cancelled it. I can just add a Ring indoor camera and put it where I need it. It will be with me most days at work, but in the beginning I want to make sure I can keep an eye on him when I am away for dinner, friends house, etc.
