Kojima being Kojima and acting like it's something other than a videogame is just how he does it.
The game will have semi archaic controls (like ALL his games) with some pretentious gimmick (see death stranding) and be overly foggy and metaphoric with its story telling just as his games always are.
That said, I've LOVED all his games, death stranding included, and i'll get this day one.

They just want Sony to always be on top. It's that simple. It doesn't matter how many new IP, revived IP, mega-hits, auteur-classics, casual-favorites or genre-defining games they release. It doesn't matter if their hardware is smaller, looks better, or performs better. It doesn't matter if they give away rewards points. There's an embedded Sony bias that will never go away.
Having said that, Microsoft is now in a position where they can schedule a continuous string of high-profile releases. It's possible that continuous hype and mindshare will begin to level the playing field. I hope it happens. Keeping up with videogames is a nauseating practice of wading through pissy fanboy articles.
Gaming was less embarrassing when the stereotype was gamers being a bunch of horny warmongers.

Dono if for this or DS2, seems a lil late for DS2, and another film director for his avengers colab for OD makes more sense…
I'm not even remotely excited for OD. From what we've seen it just feels like a tech experiment.
I've never been terribly excited about his games. I appreciate the creativity he's gone to make these games, but I've never bought any of them. For me, it's always a wait and see.
Guys very overrated. Phantom Pain started well but even if you ignore the cost cutting chapter 2 the story turned into self indulgent BS.

Kojima is just eccentric and produces different types of games that's why he has a cult following. I appreciate him contributing his diversity into gaming even though it could be a love it or hate it scenario.
