I remember you saying about screen burn and to be careful so I am hoping it lasts the course. Don’t want to jinx it but I’ve had it 2 years so far and had no problems. Picture quality is gorgeous, to my eyes at least. I’ll tap you up if you don’t mind for some advice when buying my next tv.

Apparently Jim Ryan doesn't know if Starfield is coming to PS5

So how did you feel about Microsoft offering to buy Zenimax/Besthesda? Is there a possibility that PlayStation gamers will not be able to play the next Elder Scrolls game or Starfield?
Jim Ryan: That’s a decision that is out of our hands, we’ll wait and see what happens. I look forward to learning about that.

“Games will generally look better, but it won’t be an amazing leap in quality like PS2 vs PS3 vs PS4, or Xbox vs Xbox 360 vs Xbox One,” Zieba said in an interview with GamingBolt. “The ability for better computing power and hardware can definitely help open up many interesting ideas and concepts, whether it will be better AI, finer details on the stage, or easier workarounds for developers. It helps to provide more opportunities for creative freedom, such as the dual reality gameplay within The Medium.

Diminishing returns for visuals. I'm just hoping we get 1440p+ and 60fps options going forward. End of gen goal is as close to 4k as possible with 60fps option. Not expecting anything more than that out of AAA games.

All I hear is "our game doesn't look great, but we have this next gen gimmick that's not possible (lol) on last gen"

4k 60 fps should not be some crazy high benchmark that takes years to hit on these systems. We've already got games running at 1440p upscaled and 60 fps. Even 1440p upscaled may be fine honestly. I doubt many could tell the difference without zooming in and counting pixels.

The 2080ti is barely keeping up with 4k/60 in today's games and that's theoretically more powerful than either consoles. I'm thinking future games will be more graphics intensive than those out now so I'm going to guess that will be our peak this gen even when future titles are developed to the metal.

Oh, but they are...for cloud gaming with MS Azure. That’s probably why Jim said they have news to come on how to deal with gamepass
I am not referring to MS when I say they I am talking about the 3rd party. The Medium Dev
MS isn't either though.
Saying MS is working with Sony for gaming is like saying Samsung is working with Apple cause they use some of there parts.
I wouldn't be surprised if a chip or part in XSX wasn't made by Sony for example.

Whatever technique Sony is using for Demon's Souls is phenomenal as it's more sharper than the full 4K.
Yes the true 4K has extra added/details settings in some cases but the quality of each they share is better in the performance mode....ie the resolution actually looks higher on performance.
Reminds me of when I play in true 4K/60 on the PC.

I believe Sony will be implementing them in an update later. Not sure when but it's not like there's much native 4K/120fps AAA games out that can take advantage if ever this gen. You'll probably see those for older games or games with less graphical fidelity.

I think 120fps are a gimmick to sell you games with lower graphics overhead like 2D platformer & pixel-art games.
