No it doesn't, not one bit and you should let that s*** go, maybe very early on they planned on a 2019 launch but things changed years ago. It's RDNA2, it has hardware accelerated RT, AMD announced they have GPU's coming that will run clocks even higher than the one in PS5 etc this is all part of AMD's roadmap, GitHub was testing incomplete hardware, people who actually work as developers have confirmed this.
Go right ahead, those clowns "heard" the consoles were going to be $600 as well. You can't just throw together what the PS5 is in a year if you believe that you are crazy.
Keep fighting that good fight.
I don't trust DF's knowledge for such things.
Neither do Xfanboys.😉

You can't deny Xbox line up is very low effort. They have 1 or 2 AAA games a year. Sony line up is far more rounded. They have a quality mix of AAA, Indies and VR.

As of now I don't see value in Xbox. The smaller games are cool but it's not why I spend 500+. Graphically Sony games are more impressive and they haven't shown 1 next gen game running on XSX.
They been on pro xb,negative PS news ever since getting the xbox one x exclusive.
It is. It is something I have complained about since the last 2 years of last gen. Even their mainstay titles haven't done much, Gears has just stood still and hasn't really progressed, and Forza Motorsport has just got worse culminating in the very poor Forza 7.

Hey! Look. Don't get it wrong, I buy cconsoles for the blockbuster AAA titles aswell. Something like is Ori is great but I wouldn't buy a console for it. Great indie titles aere nice filler.
Not this. It's beyond ridiculous. It's quite hilarious that some will continue to shoot that shot, though.

Roughly 200GB Will Be Reserved for the Xbox Series X OS and System Files

To be exact, the Xbox Series OS (and other system related files and operations) will be taking up 198GB of the internal 1TB SSD that ships with the console. Meaning come November, buyers will only have 802GB of usable space that they can use to download games, media applications, recording, game saves and other types of related data.

To compare, the original Xbox One and PS4 shipped with a 500GB hard drive, with 138GB reserved for the Xbox One OS and system files and 92GB for the PS4. Moving up, the Xbox One X reserved about 220GB according to Forbes, with the PS4 Pro reportedly reserving somewhere between 200-220GB.

And PS5?

Ubisoft Won't Charge $70 For PS5 And Xbox Series X Games This Fall, Future Plans Unclear

Ubisoft has some heavy-hitters coming this holiday season, with Watch Dogs: Legion arriving on October 29 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla launching on November 17. Both titles will hit PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when they drop this holiday, and, based on Ubisoft's comments, it seems they will cost $60 instead of $70.

However, because Ubisoft said "Christmas," it's possible future releases on next-gen--including Far Cry 6, Gods & Monsters, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Quarantine, and others--could be priced higher than $60. CEO Yves Guillemot's response referring to "Christmas" games was brought up in a later question during the earnings call. When asked specifically if he was leaving room for a potential price increase for post-Christmas games, Guillemot doubled down, again only discussing the unchanged pricing for this year's games.

This is a little dated, but I figured some of you probably needed to be let in on what's really about to kick off. 😉

Who is that quoting? I legit laughed out loud.

Why would you laugh at Marvel's Spider-Man being mentioned so many times in a single paragraph? It's clear that Marvel's Spider-Man deserves to be mentioned by name every time Marvel's Spider-Man is the subject of the conversation. I don't know if you are aware but Marvel's Spider-Man is a great game and Marvel's Spider-Man is one of if not the best comic book based games of all time....Marvel's Spider-Man.

What kind of system is that store running? taking pre-orders before they had any idea what their allocation was going to be? Wow talk about unprofessional.

The retailer ran a system which essentially let customers pre-pre-order a PS5 console by registering their interest prior to pre-orders going live.

You do not need to see next-gen games that are substantially larger to make an obvious deduction. The point is very valid as the storage space of both next-gen consoles are tiny comparatively, & game size has grown exponentially generation to generation, & far exceed the growth of HDD capacity.

The storage solutions of XboxsX & especially PS5 are a concern, especially when they want people to go digital. Also, not everyone has high-speed internet. Sure I can get high-speed internet, but it cost a bomb here. Like us$95/mth & I am not spending this kind of money especially in this time of uncertainty.

At least Xbox, you can get a glorified overprice "memory card", which I am sure will come done in cost & capacity with 3rd parties & overtime. Its expensive but more dummy-proof for your average gamers. For PS5, they expect you to
a) Know you can expand the capacity
b) Get a correct compatible SSD drive
c) Install the drive

Then what happened after using up the extra SSD drive? A new larger one to replace the last one, & how do you transfer the data from the old one to the new one? All valid questions. Should we just ignore & make it swappable (on something mean to install once or twice, not swappable ) like the XBOXs X "Memory card". As a hardware developer, I can tell you something that is mean to be installed (not swappable) has a different set of the lifecycle of plug & unplug requirement, with not swappable device far lower.

If you ask me, a solution is an external HDD (That acts as a glorified CD shelf) that can be connected permanently to the consoles. Games you playing currently you put in your SSD. With a press of a button, you can swap games between the SSD & the HDD (dummy proof), & the OS will do all the work for you.

We will have that option on both consoles and to me it's the one that makes the most sense, you can get a 5TB external HDD for half the price of the plug and play Xbox SSD. I've been saying the same thing for a while now as far as that being the best option.

My point about the file sizes is they use two games as their example but those games aren't out of line with current gen AAA titles, why not wait until you actually have a game that's size is incredible before writing a story like that? I guess it's because that's now how "journalism" works on the internet and everything has to be sensationalized for clicks.

It's almost like MS needs some work to do to bolster that first party line up.

Plenty of value and reasons to own an xbox but if it's not for you that's cool.

They selling you a future that may or may not happen and you'll be waiting years to see it..

Honestly the XSX is a boring console release. I don't understand where the hype is coming ftom. The 1st year line up is astrocious.

They need first party games for sure. But you don't see value in Xbox? Thats laughable.

I don't see value in spending 500+ for old games. The AAA titles don't hit Gamepass untill much later. Everything people hype is stuff I could do now.

My main reason for buying consoles are GAMES. All the hype around Xbox is everything but actual games.

Exactly. I wanna see Gears/Halo brought to the next level. I wanna see mind blowing new IP's for Xbox. They only seem to do enough to get by and the fans are satisfied with anything.

The part that surprises me is Sony did preorders and they're just now letting stores know their allocation? I'm going to assume it's a s*** headline since I can't be bothered to read the story, since I doubt Sony would have rushed preorders that haphazardly.

Yeah that store let people "pre order" by just registering before Sony ever announced anything, so now of course it's a headline trying to make it look like Sony messed up. Most stores won't take an actual pre-order until a price and release date are given and they have at least some idea of how much product they'll be receiving, this one seemed to think that wasn't necessary.
