We also have to consider dlc. Sometimes I kept games I completed waiting for DLC. Also many MP games will only keep getting larger With new maps and cosmetic.

the more I think about it, the more I think Xbox S is poor value for money. 1/2 storage space, even less even 3/:cool: if you consider 200gb for OS and apps, no disc ( bye bye used games and trading) , and can’t game at 4K. 1/2 month after buying, you will need to get a 200 ssd that make the cost of the x box x, but still no 4K gaming and disc drive. Sure you get 500gb more, but the Xbox x just more value.

You Save Money initial only to spend similar to The full Xbox x but still a gimp version.

Yeah add to that Series X will probably get some reduced pricing in the future deals and as more and more 4k TVs are sold, the series S is looking like a short term cash grab. Just doesn't look like a good future proof investment at this point.

One of my biggest hopes is to see the last Star Wars Fallen Order game running at 60fps. I couldn't play that game at slower framerates, it was just too clunky.

If that happens, it will be my big "next gen" game. Playing that at a smooth framerate is going to be a totally different experience for me.

This is only a jerk reaction to no games. You didn't respond to any of my points. 😂

What triple games in the near future can I get for Xbox not on Playstation?

What is near future? 2021 will see a couple. Halo and either Everwild, Hellblade, or Forza 8.

2022 and beyond is likely packed.

Slow start doesn't mean slow gen.

Lookin' good.

I haven't played Fallen Order since beating it soon after its release. But was the problem really the FPS or its sluggish and not responsive controls that were the real problem? I've played other similar games where the controls were tight and responsive at 30fps like Bloodborne/The Surge 2. If those games can be super responsive there is no reason why Fallen Order couldn't during the current generation.

I think a lot of it was the controls, and the fps made it worse. I can play AC:Odyssey at 30fps, and that was fine. I'd love 60 on that but it isn't necessary, although some of the block timing can be challenging.

Fallen Order seemed like it had even worse performance though too. Performance mode on the X1X didn't seem to matter. I honestly quit after the first major boss. It isn't like the block/dodge/attack mechanics are all that complicated, but everything felt wrong.

I can see how FPS would improve Fallen Order's performance but we have evidence in other games in the same genre that performed much better. So I think in Fallen Order's case it had more to do with the development of the game over technical limitations of the hardware.

I'd probably check out Fallen Order once I receive my XSX just to see if I can spot any differences. But to be honest the game was mediocre and benefitted greatly from its use of the Star Wars license. And the light-sabre acting as a glowing bat did the game no favors, they couldn't even be bothered to include a dismemberment toggle so the older crowd could delight in hacking off limbs. So any sequel will have to include major additions and changes before it realizes its potential in that space of games. Unfortunately I don't have confidence in EA to give the devs the space they need to make the game even better. Every Star Wars game they have put under the new licensing deal has been a half-baked money-grab full of potential but short on actual execution.

The problem is when the price comes down & the now Xbox Series X is the new $299 console, they still have to support the lowest denominator the gimped Series S.

Not good Sony...

"Some retailers have started canceling pre-orders for the PS5 now that Sony is finally allotting stock - and aren't enough units to go around."

"This announcement shouldn't come as a surprise, as Sony has already announced that some PS5 pre-orders have been delayed to December. It seems that the rumored production issues with the PS5 are legit and that Sony is going to have major issues getting the system into stores this holiday season. By comparison, the Xbox Series X pre-order situation is a lot better, and Microsoft might win this first holiday season, by virtue of actually having the systems available for purchase."

Yup 3x weaker will always have to be taken into consideration which=gimped versions of xsx games.

I'm not trying to fan any flames here. But I've read the above stated several times from gamers and I wonder if any developer has ever come out to confirm that. Has any developer come out and said something like "we wanted to implement a gameplay feature but couldn't because of limitations of other hardware"?

As I understand it, the weaker system gets the same game minus some of the bells and whistles another version might get. That's it as far as the difference. I'm wondering if there has been a game(s) that had to be fundamentally changed because of the limitations from weaker systems. I really thought a game is developed according to the devs vision and scaled down accordingly but that's an assumption since I really don't know what goes into making a game beyond a lot of hard work.

Sounds like MS is having exactly the same problem. Lots of us got notified of our Amazon preorder (which we got right away) might not be on time.

I think the number of consoles shipped at launch is going to be really, really low on both sides. I'm guessing a lot of us are going to be waiting on launch day for sure.
