Well well well, we've come full circle again.

This assumes everyybody is OK with a second rate experience. Native>>>>streaming, it isn't even debateable.

Not to mention the whole article rests on his opinion/assumption about something not happening. It would be like me saying, "here is why consoles are a waste of time," and then hinge that on me saying, "cause I think PS5 exclusives will come to PC."

I was leaning more on the point that PS5 will have console exclusives for the foreseeable future.

"The lack of exclusives coupled with the multi-platform nature of Xbox Game Pass meant that you didn't need to rush out and track down an Xbox Series X restock. However, you’ll want to find a PS5 restock as it’s looking very likely that PS5 games will remain solely on Sony’s new console.

That might seem like an obvious statement. But as we’ve seen former PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn get ported over to the PC, there was a chance that some PS5 exclusive games could be opened up to PC gamers.

But I predict that’s not going to be the case, at least not for some time. The reason for this stems from the news that Epic tried to pay Sony $200 million as a “minimum guarantee” for access to Sony’s exclusive games."

But again, that is opinion. Nobody knows wat the PC and PS5 relationship is going to be. Plus, " console exclusives" still include first party xbox games cause neither PC, phones, or tablets are consoles, and those games are only found on the Xbox console.

Not to mention if you're looking for a next gen console then a 720P streaming service isn't going to be all that appealing. So, even that point is laughable.

Clickbait article in a slow news period.

Obviously noone knows what is in store for the future, not even Sony.

But having Jim Ryan come out and say "the PS5 will have even more exclusives than the PS4" is encouraging. Also the fact there are only 2 PS titles on the Epic game store even though it is known that Epic made a pitch to acquire more rights to sell PS titles means that Sony is not in a rush to port their games over to the PC as some may think at this point in time.

All signs point to the status quo remaining the same. That is, PS exclusives won't be ported over the PC on the same day it is released. A few years down the line ? Possibly.

You mean like how MS still calls theirs. Lol. When are you folks going to learn that buzzwords like "exclusive" are malleable in the world of marketing.

All sign point is not a solid foundation on which to make bold claims. The fact you lot can't find a definitive statement to back you up should tell you that.

Not sure where you get the idea that because Epic attempted to buy exclusives from Sony(and failed) that things are changing? LOL that's ass backwards bro

There's nothing definitive anymore IMO. Things are always changing and you're right it's an opinion piece. That's why I said we went full circle because the same site chose the XSX over the PS5 like a month or two earlier. It's just flip flop every 2 months.

It was actually a play on the site as the opinions on it flip flop as much as the multiplatform comparisons these days.

More evidence that the PS5 is a very efficient and developer friendly console to work with.

Less constraints means less bottlenecks = more efficiency.

Also helps that there's only one sku spec to develop for at the moment.

Console made by company that just bought them is the best console ever, says person who now works for company that made console.

You have to give it to Sony & their "propaganda" machine.
I wouldn't be surprised, there is a memo going out to PR team & chill media "talk about our SSD"

SSD on PS5 is the only thing (slightly) better than its competition, X-SeX, & hence they oversell it like those magic screen cleaners which are just alcohol with blue coloring.

MS are a baby when it comes to thought influencing. Truth doesn't matter. Most people just pretend to care about the truth. What most people want, is to hear what they like, & take that as truth, & anything they dislike as false. Sony just feed things to their fans, & gullible minds what they like to hear to make their product looks good.

Well, to be fair to Sony, they're better than Apple, since they're actually talking about their actual features now and then, rather than just making some hipster crap commercial and slapping a logo on it for the fanboys to finish on.

Really scary enemies in front of you? Turn around. Poof, they're gone! /sarcasm
I don't think it's that simple either as the engine has to track objects for shadows and AI interactions. Perhaps it's more to do with the assets needed for textures and whatnot, but unless you are baking lighting, you still have to account for some level of geometry and lightsources. That's probably a major reason RT is so expensive.
