The Series X is the only one with two graphics modes - Quality and Performance. Quality is 30 FPS and has all the bells and whistles wile Performance is more like the PS5 version. The PS5 version has a frame rate near 60 consistently whereas the XSX version bounces between 50-60, but keeps a higher resolution on average with better lighting.

And more NPCs, it runs the one X version settings as base.

I know they made money on this game but they'd have made so much more had they just delayed the game 8-12 months and polished it up, fixed some of the flawed things like their police AI etc and had true PS5/XSX versions at launch.

XSX has moments where the game just straight up freezes and lurches. Check 13:10 and 16:10. That's running perfectly fine for you? DF even puts "possible I/O issue?" in the video.

It ran well on mine too. It did have a bug here and there but it didn't really make much impact to me. I thought it was smooth, beautiful, and played great. And I played all the way through it. I don't recall any freezing.

The performance quality from 1X to SeriesX was a huge step up was a shame I was all but done with the game when I upgraded.

It’s not just potiential money lost from cyberpunk, but also their next games when they lose trust in the company.

PS5 version is not available nor is the XSX.

I’m commenting on the current state as they perform far different than the last gen counterparts.

It's basically PS5 and XSX in BC mode as they are just using the same modes as last gen with boosted performance.

The real PS5 / XSX versions aren't out yet.

I know for a fact the SeriesX version is smoother then the 1X version, not graphically better, just doesn't drop so many frames, not sure why exactly but it's definitely noticeable.

Digital Foundry has confirmed the XSX is the best version for consoles.

LOL, This is a acse of misleading/clickbait headline, but hardly surprise by person who post this.

The video title act like PC gaming is in big trouble but thats totally misleading

TLDR for others.
PC omponents are very expensive, mainly graphic cards & hard to find....a problem sure, but hardly a long term issue.
Many games are release broken- True, but NOT unique to PC
Many games lack Originality- True, again, not unique to PC.

What?

Can't handle the truth ?

By the time the RT enabled verson come up, no one will bothered with the game already. Cyberpunk game is very mismanaged. Doesn't stop the top executive from giving themselves a big bonus.

For those that did not know, CDPR divided thier bonus into 2 almost equal half. One half is to the developers working on Cyberpunk, the other 1/2 divided by 5 executives....

This is the company people think is the Mother Theresa of gaming. LoL.

Depending on how the next gen versions are, I may still be interested but probably wait for a discount by then. Poorly handled title for sure by the management team.

My concern is if the next gen version is only a patch. Then that means it's still running BC mode and not a native PS5 port because that would mean no full access to the hardware's power. Hopefully we will get more info soon. If it's just a patch then yeah I'm skipping it for sure.

I handle the truth just fine, it's your parroting the same theme of bc every time xsx crushes the gimped ps5 I'm having trouble with (well, not trouble, more headaches).

The really disgusting thing about it is that the game released in such a poor state due to mismanagement and yet management pats itself on the back with a juicy fat bonus. When shareholders asked why management thought they deserved a bonus, they said something to the effect of "We released a game and it made money so we deserve that bonus". :smash:

The game isn't the same on the PS4 base/Pro as it is on PS5 and isn't the same on Xbox One as it is on the Series X, even though this isn't the true next gen version. Since the release both the PS5 and Series X have received updates that were specific to them, so I'm just commenting on the current state of the game if you play on the Series X and PS5.

I'm well aware that the true PS5 and Series X versions are pending.

It's because there's a reason. Why do you think in newer multiplats, the two keep exchanging blows and in BC titles, the XSX usually has an advantage?

The answer is because of their BC systems and how they handle older titles. MS consoles use virtual coding which allows old titles more access to their full hardware power while PS5 is limited to PS4/Pro hardware clocked restrictions. This is also the reason why PS5 exclusives usually will look and perform better. The devs have access to lower level API which can assist with developing the title "more to the metal".

TLDR; the PS5 requires more optimizations to take full advantage of the system but this requires more work for the devs especially for older titles which would require a full native port so they don't do it BC they believe it is not worth the time.

I don't know how many times this needs to be clarified or if it's just falling on deaf ears for some of you Xbox fans. The difference lies in the way both systems handle older titles rather than the actual console power difference.

What are these updates that are specific to them? The base code is still last gen and both systems are still handling the title as a BC game. If you put in the PS4 disc version of Cyberpunk into the PS5 , you can play it but it's still in BC mode.
