The irony is that Xbox's 2 big 2021 games are Halo and Forza.
And Flight Simulator. But it's funny when people complained that MS was pumping out Halo and Forza too often. It's now been 6 years since the last Halo. It's been 3 years since FH4. And assuming we get Forza Motorsport 8 in 2023, that too is 6 years since the last one. Big change from annually. And now they have literally a SLEW of new IPs.

Xbox Game Studios for the rest of 2021 is releasing Flight Simulator, Forza Horizon 5, Psychonauts 2, Halo Infinite, and Age of Empires 4. Then non Xbox Game Studios games like Shredders, The Ascent, Scorn, Crossfire X Campaign, Stalker 2, Twelve Minutes, The Gunk, Sable, and Anacrusis and more.

You say that like these developers did other games inbetween. It was still Halo, Forza, Gears. Just old ass versions of them. I mean the big gap for forza is due to them proggressing the game so little last gen that to get up to modern standards meant literrallly starting Motorsport from scratch.

Like I said, their 2 big hitters are still Halo and Forza.

Age of Empired is PC only. Stalker is 2022. Crossfire isn't coming this year. Then you have a bunch of indies, that may look cool, but people don't spend $500 for indies.

Flight Simulator isn't a new IP either. In fact, it's one of the longest running franchises, the first one was released in 1982.

literally starting Motorsport from scratch.

Yup, which is a good thing.

Like I said, their 2 big hitters are still Halo and Forza.

Nah. They have more than just Halo and Forza and Gears. Actually the biggest hitter of them all is Microsoft's Minecraft. Over 200 million sold. And still a top 10.

Age of Empired is PC only.

Still Xbox Game Studios game, which is what I said.

When did MS change the release date for Crossfire X?

Then you have a bunch of indies, that may look cool, but people don't spend $500 for indies.

They spend $500 for great AAA games and indies. In fact, most people spend $500 for a PS or Xbox to play Call of Duty, Madden, Ass Creed, FIFA, Minecraft, etc.

Then why did you mention that?

A refresher.

You see any PS fans say "oh we have no games, we only have GOW, Gran Turismo and remasters boo hoo" ? No.

About as often as I see Xbox fans say "we have no games".

Minecraft is a multiplatform game.

Did I say Xbox has no games ? Man, Xbox fans love to play the victim card.
You forgot a gif, I heard it make your argument more valid. Just ask Swede. :p

I am enjoying my gamepass. Playing Medium now.
I never know what order to play things in. I start on a new game, don't finish. Go back to an old game. New game comes out, I stop playing old game. Now I have a new game, unfinished, and then 2 old games unfinished. Rinse and repeat. The Medium is on my list to try out.

Just finished Godfall. Almost done with Ratchet. But I need to go back to old games like TLOU2 and finish that.

Hedon just likes to ramble on and on and go on tangents because he loves to play word games.

He went from new IP's discussion into victim playing accusing me of saying "Xbox has no games" then into PS fans also play the victim card too (never seen any type of victim post on the PS side at all) into Flight Simulator is not a game now in a span of a page in this thread. Can't make this stuff up.

I wouldn't called cloud base gaming multiplatform exactly. But to each his own.
I don't make the rules. If you don't need a PlayStation and you can play it on PC it's not exclusive. Just like Xbox. If you don't need an Xbox and you can play it on PC, it's not exclusive.

But "console exclusive", yes.

^the irony in your post is through the roof. It's like you looked at your posting style, and then took it and tried to pan it off as my posting style. It's like opposite day.

A refresher.

?

Unrelated to the discussion at hand.

About as often as I see Xbox fans say "we have no games".

Well just off the top of my head, I see you, Rockastansky, Dtwice that play the victim card pretty often in this thread. Not sure if you guys do anywhere else in the forum. Who are the people playing the victim card on the PS side?

We know, we know. It's not a game. Halo, Gears, Forza, Gran Turismo, God of War and Uncharted aren't new IPs either.

You're just putting words into my mouth at this point, did I say Flight simulator was not a game anywhere at all? You've done this twice now in a span of an hour.

Off the top of my head, last gen, Sony has released bigger new exclusive IP's like Bloodborne, Driveclub, Knack, The Order 1886, Until Dawn, The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Detroit: Become Human, Spider-Man, Days Gone, Ghosts of Tsushima, Dreams, Death Stranding, Astrobot.

Sony has always been interested in releasing new IP's for a while now.

Just in 2018:

Just 2 days ago, they reinforced that's the same strat for this gen as well. We already see it 8 months from launch with Returnal, Godfall, Destruction All Stars etc. Of course not all new IP's will be greatly reviewed.

PlayStation Studios boss Hermen Hulst has said that Sony prefers striking external partnerships for new IPs as opposed to going on studio shopping sprees in order to keep things fresh.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Hulst said that PlayStation Studios is growing, and the team is “always on the lookout for incredible new experiences” regardless of the genre and size of studio. Sony’s primary focus is on seeking talent and empowering developers to create without constraints by offering them the same services and facilities available to its own first-party studios.

“If I come across a core group of people that are building a new outfit, that have gained incredible experience and matured as creatives, and then you take the shackles off, you give them a white sheet of paper, it’s just fascinating to see what they’re going to do with it,” Hulst added.

While Sony has only recently begun announcing a string of external partnerships, the company has been working with these partners behind the scenes for quite some time. That’s the case with Deviation Games, at least, who revealed that it has been developing its new AAA PlayStation 5 game for over a year.

“New IP is amazing,” Hulst continued. “We’re always looking to offer fresh new experiences to the audience, to the PlayStation community. It’s also an honor for me as the head of PlayStation Studios to find a group like Jason, Dave and their team [at Deviation] to work with us.

I made it related.

Because I am dripping with sarcasm.

We already see MS doing that as well.
