I honestly haven't played probably half of what a lot of other people have, but I have to give a shout out to COD:World at War. Really loved that one. The campaign was fantastic and I had fun with the MP too.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
Operation Flashpoint: Red River
America's Army
Battlefield 4

My fav FPS of all time. No CoD touches it. If the game didn't get hacked with god mode cheaters (and the community was still active), I'd still be playing it today. Due to some lucky buy and sell trade in values, I actually bought the game 3 times! I even had that cool version with the canteen! But when god mode gamers took over, I finally dumped it for good.

I spend enough time in the military, but I do not have high interests in military shooter. Much prefer more fantasy sci-fi.

oh god... WaW was terrible. I think I hate you guys now. :(

Yep, don't play any of those games. I play Halo, but the closest would be Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

I've always like a little sci-fi to my military FPS.

Only 2 worth mentioning

Battlefield 1942
Battlefield 2

everything else is very far behind.

Only FPS? Cause Ghost Recon: Future Soldier was great.
Ghost Recon, though a third person game, is awesome. If we had a thread for third person war games, I would have added Ghost Recon and SOCOM 4.

Yeah I really enjoyed WaW too. The campaign was really fun, though prolly the most cheap in the COD series on veteran. I also really enjoyed the MP.

I think the cheapness is part of what makes me remember/appreciate it so much. Knowing that despite the cheapness I was able to beat it and it didn't turn me off to the game. Felt a real sense of accomplishment from this game.

No specific order except for Call of Duty 1 being at the top.

Call of Duty 1/United Offensive
Call of Duty 2
Battlefield 1942
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Operation Flashpoint
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway

Bonus mention of The Outfit, an underrated gem from the 360 launch period.
