Why would they outright lie about it not being timed exclusive and than accidentally admit it on their website? Isn't it more likely that it was a mistake? This hasn't been a Tomb Raider situation. They have been very clear.

So a timed exclusive for ps4 before releasing on pc. Damn. And here i thought this thread was about Xbox.
 
You were typing so hurriedly that you misspelled Fighter.

I'm not seeing the circled/asterisked portion in the google cache link.

Smells fishy. I had the impression that Mister X and his site were sort of a joke, a fanboyish, non-credible source.

Fixed.

The circled part is just a image link to a guy who took a screen grab and highlighted it.

I just checked the link and the * Timed Exclusive is gone. Looks like the webcache took another cache check when they fixed it.

Well, it appears to have been a mistake that is now corrected.

I haven't been paying attention (not my kind of game), but I've heard that Capcom and Sony have both said it is not coming to the X1, and that even Phil Spencer said it's not coming.

So... unless there's some additional data to suggest this was anything more than a mistake, I'm inclined to close the thread. I'll leave it open for a while, though, so people can comment/discuss.

I find it hard to believe someone writing the data would accidentally add an asterisk and timed exclusive tagline just by accident.

I can see someone making a typo and let's say typing something like "15 characters" instead of "16 characters" or "Play as your favourite charcters like Ryu and Kne".

But accidentally adding info about "timed exclusivity" with an asterisk and all seems like something beyond a slip of wrist and a pressing the wrong key.
 
Eh, mistakes happen all the time. They might've meant to convey that "timed" referred to a PC release. They might've mixed up data for a different game. It might've been an intentional act on someone's part, just to mess with people. Those are just a few possibilities. There are many more.

We don't really know what happened. We do know that it has been labelled as a mistake by the source and corrected.
 
I have spoken with misterxmedia's insider and they have confirmed that it is indeed true. Then there was some talk about a flat Earth and the Moon landings being faked and I had to make my excuses and leave.

Mistakes happen all the time. I hardly ever write anything more than 5 sentences without realizing I made some silly grammatical or spelling mistakes after posting.

Edit: damn, I had to edit mistakes I made again....twice.
