So the way I look at we're in for a coup!e weeks of true comedy.
As lucky (and in some cases dishonest) people get consoles before street date, you just know their need to brag about it will result in bans, firings and even arrests. Throw them up here so we can have a good laugh.

X1's is pretty much mandatory for you to be able to play games and use its features. I read somewhere the firmware is not on the box yet, thus the update breathes life into the system so to speak.

PS4's is not mandatory but without it things like Blu-ray movie playback won't work, not sure what the f*** they were thinking but it is what it is. Games work off the bat though.

Both are small updates when you think about it though.

X1 = Around 500MB
PS4 = Around 300MB

Ok. I wonder if getting an X1 early would matter then? If it's MS's discretion when to have that update available, they might not publicly release it until launch day. So there'd no point in getting an X1 early anyway.

Yeah I flip flop every day, wondering if what Bobby Kotick says is true about a price drop after the 3rd month... With only less than 11 full days here I might as well just go pick it up and get the card a week or two later.
