Anyone been playing this on the PC?

I've got a terrible rig that's about 4 years overdue for replacement, but nonetheless, I've been enjoying the hell out of MH on the lowest graphical settings! Haha..

Got a level ~25 Hawkeye at the moment, but been running a Deadpool on the test server for quite a while.

Considering getting a new PC before I bite the bullet and start buying characters for the main game. Shame the pricing is so steep on them or I'd have a few already I think!

I played the hell out of it for a bit, put about 120 hours into it then got terribly bored with it.

I've since moved on to a much better ARPG experience with Path of Exile and am never looking back.

120 hours! Damn.
Which character(s) did you main and opinions on them?

I understand they're adding stuff to it all the time, especially new stuff for level 60's.

Obviously I'd probably grab Deadpool first as a main on the paid server, but the appeal of the melee characters like Wolverine and Colossus, or AoE like Thor and Human Torch seem like they'd be good fun too.

I played all the characters that were available during the beta then when the full game released I played Hawkeye and he got real weak real fast in end game which is why I stopped playing the game.

Hawkeye has changed a lot even since I started playing. He's had a big review fairly recently too, which added a bunch of perks and upped damage on Explosive Arrow and a few other grants.

Still one of the squishier toons of course.

And it makes sense for him to be squishier as he's supposed to be a DPS class. Still, I prefer my ARPG characters to be able to DPS with a tanky aspect. My D3 monk can do wicked DPS, before I stopped playing D3 I was clearing MP8 act 3 and 4 with very, very rare deaths in very little time. Currently in POE I'm in late Act 3 Cruel and my Scion is starting to show signs of weakness bet she's got a lot of gear that 10 or more levels lower than her current level but I can still clear everything sans bosses without having to die or cheese the encounter by town portal spamming.

In MH tho I could not for the life of me get through some of the solo end-game instances no matter how hard I tried because the bosses would 1-shot me every time and that's no fun at all.

I can't speak for end-game because I'm not all the way there yet ( just started chapter 8..), but so far, I haven't had any one-shot instances with Hawkeye.

I'm told the Terminals are much more difficult, but as far as the "campaign" goes, it's much more balanced now (or maybe the characters have been buffed to better deal with it - one or the other), and I've only died a couple times in the last three chapters. The last time I played, Sinister downed me, but if I'd been better managing my Roll I probably could have avoided it too.

Got my first Unique last night. Very pleased. It was a good +100 dmg over the Cosmic blades I was using.

Also got a few Adamantium Cores last night, so my default costume has +20% sif now.

Did the Doom terminal last night and handled it fairly easily, so I'm pretty happy with my skill choices and DP's durability.

Nice, good find. I'm still hooked on Path of Exile or I'd install MH and run some stuff with you.

My first level 60 Hero :)

It's surprising how quickly you can level up when you're literally just doing the objectives for the Legendary Quests. I was just teleporting past half the levels to finish them off!

Tried the Cosmic terminal for Shocker last. Promptly got my arse handed to me about 25 times before I finally took him down haha.. So some serious rerolling of skills is necessary. That said, got some great loot! 3 of the 4 Cosmic items that dropped were direct upgrades for my stuff.

I am a huge Marvel Heroes fan. I have been playing since June. I have 413 hours in it so far. I have gotten all of the heroes and have leveled them all at least a little bit. I only have 2 level 60s, but I have a bunch of heroes 30+. Gazillion is constantly adding things and fixing stuff. People who didn't like it a few months ago should try it again and they may like it.

Wow, 413 hours!
It is amazing how quickly is adds up though. I think I'm sitting on like 60 hours and despite grabbing it at launch, I've only really been playing it properly the last couple weeks!

How have you gotten all the heroes? Paying, or all Splinters? (Or combination of both?). I'm really feeling at the moment that I'd love to get them all too.

At the beginning, you were able to get "hero drops" in the game. Which were rare but they did happen. I got Black Widow, Black Panther and Cyclops from random drops. However they did away with those drops once they implemented splinters. I have gotten some with splinters, but I bought most of them. In hindsight, I got a few that I may never play. I just get excited whenever new content is released. For instance, I will probably never play Squirrel Girl, but I got her anyway. I had decided to hold off getting any more heroes for a while since there are so many that I haven't leveled much. However I have 1,000 splinters so I got Moon Knight. I got him to level 30 and he is "alright" I guess. My favorites are Deadpool and Iron Man. I have DP at 60 and I am level 40 Prestige 1 with Iron Man.

It is an awesome game and has the best F2P model out there. You can play all the content and get all of the heroes for free. You just have to be patient, but you can buy all the heroes with splinters you accumulate.

I have a ton of costumes too. :)

Yeah I was around at launch when Hero Drops were still available, but my PC had trouble running it and with Hawkeye as my starter, I never really got into MH so I missed the early run.

I saw soooo many Moon Knights running around on the weekend haha!

I have DP at level 60, Jean currently at 40 (I'll get her to 60) and Hawkeye at 33. I only have Cap, Thing (both level  and Luke Cage from a random Splinter roll the other night (haven't started him yet).

Jean so far has been an absolute beast.

Got another two free heroes over the weekend. The Odin special events were great too, heaps of loot.

Got my Jean to level 60 now, and unlocked Daredevil and Spider-Man with my free Eternity Splinter boxes, so I've started working through with Spider-Man now. He started off a little slow (though anything is after a level 60 Phoenix), but he's coming into his own now. Great fun.

This game is fantastic.

Team-Up Heroes FAQ (Page 1)

When will Team-Ups Heroes launch?

The first Team-Up Heroes will officially launch on Thursday, April 3rd, in preparation for the Captain America movie.

A presale pack will likely be available approximately one week before the official launch of Team-Up Heroes.

We are incredibly excited about seeing this feature go live and launching for everyone. We spent a good amount of time playing our favorite ARPGs and iterating to find the most-fun combination of systems and features to give Team-Up Heroes.

Many new Team-Up Heroes will be added periodically in the weeks, months and years ahead!

Can Team-Up Heroes be obtained with Eternity Splinters or Gs?

Team-Up Heroes can be obtained from Adam Warlock on the same day as their release and in the G Store in a new section for Team-Up Heroes.

The Team-Up Heroes are generally split into the following categories:

Enhanced Team-Up Heroes: 600 Splinters or 900 G

Non-Enhanced Team-Up Heroes: 400 Splinters or 650 G

Very Basic Team-Up Heroes: 200 Splinters or 400 G

Enhanced Team-Up Heroes have new voice acting work done specifically for the team up itself.

Very Basic Team-Up Heroes have no voice work, minimal VFX and minimal new tech associated with them.

Team-Up heroes have a lot of work put into them (much, much more than an enhanced costume), but we're banking on the fact that they will appeal to a broad range of players and they will be a worthwhile investment for the Marvel Heroes development team and plan to support them for infinite time.

Will Team-Up Heroes use items?

Team-Up Heroes have 4 item slots and dedicated Team Up gear that drops in the world.

Team-Up gear drops in common through epic rarity (white through purple) and is affected by Rare Item Find (RIF).

Team-Up gear has custom bonuses specifically made for Team Ups.

Which Team-Up Heroes are available at launch?

The first four Team-Up Heroes will be:

  • Spider-Man - The original Marvel Team Up who started the comic series. Dodge-based hero with webs and martial arts.
  • Falcon - Directly from the Captain America Winter Soldier movie with flight, twin Mac-10 submachine guns and primarily physical damage attacks
  • Firestar - An original from Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. Primarily energy damage attacks using her microwave powers.
  • Magik - Illyana Rasputin, complete with Soulsword and magical/mental based attacks.

How are Team Up Heroes different from each other?

Team Up Heroes have their own unique set of skills and abilities, which you select for them using a 3 x 4 grid of talents.

The talent grid is used to customize the Team-Up Hero to your playstyle. You choose which talents your team up has. The talents can be changed freely in hubs.

Full-Time Team-Up - Stays with you until they are defeated.

Short Duration Team-Up - Stays with you until they are defeated or 30 seconds elapses. Has a very high impact move when called in and does higher damage, but with shorter uptime. Starts with a 3 minute cooldown.

Behind The Scenes Team-Up - Provides you a passive bonus but is never called into play.

How do Team-Ups bind to your heroes?

Team-Ups will be freely used account wide with no restrictions.

Once you acquire a Team-Up Hero, they can be teamed with any of your heroes with no restriction. The Hero Roster interface allows you to easily set which Team-Up is associated with each of your heroes.

Can a Team-Up hero be used by that same hero being played?

Yes, the version of Earth in which Marvel Heroes exists is a juncture of many realities (as you've noticed), so this is no problem.

How do Team-Up Heroes level?

Team-Up Heroes automatically level up or down with your main hero, so you can freely use them on level 1 heroes or when using prestige levels.

Can Team-Up Heroes be defeated?

Although they have a high amount of health, Team-Ups can be damaged and defeated, which means you’ll need to call them in again based on their cooldown. You have the option of gearing them for increased survivability.

Can Team-Up Heroes use costumes?

Team-Ups will not be able to use costumes, but eventually alternate versions of Team-Ups may use different appearances. Example: Kate Bishop or Beta Ray Bill could potentially be a Team Up in the future.

What Team-Ups can we expect in the future?

Many, many, many will be available in the months and years to come, including Domino, Kitty Pryde, Beta Ray Bill, Lockjaw, Wolverine (a classic Marvel team up), Havok, all of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Wonder Man, Iceman (one of the original Amazing Friends) and Bob, Agent of Hydra are just short list of Team Ups that could appear in the future.

Note that a Team-Up Hero can also be a playable hero in the future and vice-versa.

Played a bit more last night. There's a 50% bonus to XP, RIF and SIF all week, so advancement is super quick at the moment! Got my Ghost Rider from 38 to 45 last night alone in just a couple hours.

Crazy good weekend in this!

Hooked up the new PC to the 42" TV, jacked settings and dayummmm this game looks great now.
The missus ended up creating an account on the old PC so we were playing in a Party most of the weekend.

Seeing as the BOGO was on, I decided to buy Iron Man (after much procrastination) and got Hulk as my freebie! Win. Missus bought Wolverine on her account (her fav Marvel character) and got Thor as the freebie, so we both got pretty lucky with the bonuses.

New Cow Bell artifact is pretty awesome. We both used the cosmic Penta boost bonus too, so we were killing it through levels. My Iron Man is 42 already and the missus' Wolvey is 40.

Played a little more of my Ghost Rider last night. Used up the last of the Penta boost. He's 58 - almost 59, so I'll have him to 60 tonight. Gotta say, Ghost Rider is probably my favourite character played so far. That Ultimate!!! Wow. And his mix of AoE, melee and ranged chain powers are insanely good. He just tears through everything. I really want to keep playing him. Definitely think I'll consider him as my first Prestige toon, or maybe I'll wait for the "paragon" thing.

Rolled my first Pet off a Fortune Mark Mark 1 with Iron Man. The Raptor.

Loving the extra inventory space too.

All-in-all, a great update this weekend. So addictive. Definitely didn't think when I started playing this game that I'd have over 170 hours in it and ~$50 spent on a "free" game.

Yeeeeahhh... I know I'm talking to myself on this game but whatever!

Had an awesome night running around with Hulk.

Went from 22 to 45 just doing Midtown + LQs.

Got THREE uniques for Hulk. All different as well. So lucky! Especially after the last week of getting only one (and an any hero one at that). Couldn't believe it. Running no boons, and three legit character-specific uniques. Stark contrast to the penta-boost/RIF/SIF weekends when I get squat haha

Hulk kicking some serious arse now. So good for clearing out mobs.
