Sony paid Capcom $5M for VR mode in RE7. Doubt they paid much more for a character they have rights to
They don’t have rights to Spider-Man outside the movies Sony produced, otherwise they wouldn’t have any of the cartoons on Disney plus. And there’s some article out there saying Sony paid for the exclusivity
They don't but they have been using the deal in regards to games which they now basically have as exclusive and the previous game was digital only on Xbox thanks to Sony
Sorta....the only reason why (the article/post are out there) Insomniac made a Spider-Man game was because Disney came to them and offered them the choice of any of their Marvel IP. And their statement of it never coming to any other platform (Already after its release) was because they were already in talks of being purchased by Sony. Sony at that time was just the publisher.
what game was digital only on Xbox? I have a physical copy of Spider-Man games for both 360/one. None have Sony registration or mention, maybe in audio software credits.
