I remember in a press junket for Kong the director mentioned his excitement and where he wants to go with the film but I’ll just wait...

IGN interviews the director (potential?) of the Metal Gear movie.



I liked what he said about crappy action scenes and, even more so, that the script is very "Kojima".
 
this guy got a little too pissy about the cinemasins video on kong.

Hope he lets the project speak for itself. Metal gear as a whole has been intrinsically silly nonsense while never being afraid of a sharp turn into deathly serious topics (whether or not it was good is another matter), and if this fools gonna bring this story to film, excuses cannot be made for the "whys" of it all.
 
Should have happened a long time ago. The video games that make the most sense for a movie never seem to happen.

Love me some Metal Gear.

Something original, don’t need scenes where it cuts to first person when he goes under a create...but it might make good if it were a montage when hiding in a cardboard box with the Benny hill soundtrack.

Oscar Isaac wants the world to know that he is game to play Solid Snake in the planned Metal Gear Solidmovie adaptation.

While participating in IGN's cast roundtable for Netflix's Triple Frontier, IGN host Max Scoville asked the star-studded lineup -- including Isaac, Pedro Pascal, Ben Affleck, Garrett Hedlund and Charlie Hunnam -- which video game-turned-film they would want to be a part of. Isaac, who is best known for his role in Star Wars as Poe Dameron, was quick to voice his interest in the Hideo Kojima classic Metal Gear Solid.

"Metal Gear Solid, that's the one," said Isaac. "I'm throwing my hat in for that one."


 
RIP Sunset Limited, to bad he didn't live to see his dream come true. 🤣

He could pull off the look no problem. It's the voice I'm worried about. Just have David Hayter dubbed over him the whole time and bam, you've got a f***in blockbuster.
