Metroid Dread

About 9 hours....
Just curious where you saw it's 9 hours? I only saw a reference to 13-16 hours on the link you provided in the My Nintendo News review.

The game length to beat Metroid Dread is estimated as between 7-9 hours IGN

You can expect it to take 7-9 hours to complete Metroid Dread Gamespot

Looks good. I just think it’s funny that Metroid plays it safe in terms of design and is embraced, where’s Far Cry 6 is ridiculed.

900p and no AA fail.

But it looks fun and I hope to play it one day if Nintendo makes a real console on that real console.

To be fair, 70% of switch games looks awful on a TV, that's why I only play in handheld mode where most games looks okay at 720p on that tiny screen.

I’d like to play this but no way I’m paying close to $60. Hell im still waiting on Links Awakening to go on sale digitally I have yet to see it happen…

On one hand it’s a ripoff, but on another… there really isn’t much holding my attention until 2022 besides Halo.

If this is what's gotta hold your attention for the rest of 21.. I feel for you.
Haven’t been feeling much lately tbh. Just been mopping up some older games but even those aren’t hooking me. There isnt much coming before next year that I wanna jam.

Don’t see myself buying another game this year, except maybe this (Dread). But like I said, dunno if I wanna spend $60 on it.

$10 off

It was on sale last week, I bought it, was it 30% off I think... Might've been a European digital sale though.

Great game.

Such an awesome experience so far. Nintendo really balances and transitions the cinematics and 2D gameplay so well. It's just super cool when an EMMI attacks you or you get an omega cannon and get a third person view point. The game has so much to explore, unlock, and discover so far. This honestly looks and feels way more AAA than the previous Prime games or Other M. I personally love this renaissance of higher budget 2D games. It's what I've been craving for since XBLA helped to bring back 2D games into the spotlight, and when Rayman Origins showed you can produce a AAA 2D game. Metroid Dread is ticking all the right boxes, and I've never been the biggest Metroid fan either.

I thought exploration would be more of a hassle in this game, but it's actually quite smooth. Usually the answer to an inaccessible area is just "come back later when you got the appropriate power-up." Game looks and runs so smoothly too. I just really enjoy it.

Spose I'll check it out. Will be a while before I actually play it but interested to at least try it.

Also, she's not a gamer, she's a fake, privileged, bobbleheaded pos c*** that thinks acting woke and playing them computer games make her one of us normal (well...) people. I fkn hate that whore, fkin hate her... My blood starts boiling just thinking about that thin lipped, disgusting daughter of Satan pos.

I'm sure you'd take the opportunity to tell her that personally while letting her slobber on your knob, though.
