Microsoft and Academic Research Consulting are teaming up to bring Oculus VR's Laird Malamed and other company staff to Boston for an event titled The Future of Virtual Reality with the Oculus Rift. Oculus team members will be joined by independent developers and researchers from a number of local universities to discuss the technology.

There will be multiple sessions on November 2 that cover game development, entrepreneurs working with virtual reality, and applying for jobs with Oculus VR and other firms working with the technology.

Oculus will be bringing four of their HD kits with them, and if attendees are lucky, they'll have EVE Valkyrie, too. There will be an assortment of games to try.

For more on the event, visit the Academic Relations Consulting website. There is no charge to attend the event.
