Fired this game up over the weekend to show a couple people the game. First the Open World wouldn’t load in the areas I was picking in the central US no matter how many times I tried. Then I picked somewhere a few time zones away and it loaded right up. I took off and was getting weird graphical glitches I’d never seen.
Finally got 50 hrs. of flight time but didn't get the achievement.
Good lord. How do you top those graphics???!

So I finally plugged in a flight plan, did full startup, taxi,used the autopilot correctly and landed with no help gaining a couple of achievements along the way.
What a hell of a feeling to do that. What an amazing game (sim).

Took off in eastern edge of Long Island, had hell fly up through the storm, was really awesome when I punched through and got above the tropical storm. The view was crazy.
Still having a weird glitch if I pick anywhere in our area or local airport the game will not load. Pick somewhere else in the US it loads right up. Going to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Closing in on 100 hrs. flight time. Still not tired of it.
I still get all giddy, like an anime school, each time I see landmark I know…. I won’t even say how many times I’ve flown over my own house lol I lost count
Flying over Ida now along with a bunch of other people.
Flying around San Francisco after recently watching Vertigo and the Dirty Harry movies was awesome, so many landmarks I recognized from the movies.
I flew over Ida yesterday morning. This game continues to blow my mind.
Flying into a storm is so intense haha I ramped up the lightning strikes in the options for added effect.
I still haven't tried this yet even though I've had it downloaded since its release on Xbox. Too many games to play.
I'm also a bit intimidated my what I assume would be a complex control scheme with the devs having make things work with controllers.

They did a good job and you can fly using a really simple control system that's basically like driving a car in games.
Yea it's so simple to takeoff and fly, bit of getting used to the ascent as you can't just yank back on the stick to go straight up, landings a whole other beast though.
Yeah landing is overwhelming at first. I've gotten to the point though where I figured out how to use autopilot to the point where I'm 1000 feet off ground before turning it off and landing.
Taking off and flying around exploring anywhere in the world you want, is not difficult. Now landing I fail every time.
I tried landing on my block once, woulda made it had the car not turned the block and not come at me, I freaked out and tried to go out and just clipped my wing, bounced and flipped upside down. I laughed so hard I couldn’t breath cos the car just drove right through me
