Microsoft filed for a patent earlier this year for a proposed Internet connected glasses devices.

While the future of wearable computing products is still somewhat hazy, Microsoft is rumored to be going all in on this trend. The Verge reports, via unnamed sources, that the company has selected Alex Kipman, its general manager of Xbox incubation projects, to lead a team focused on making new wearable products that run on Windows.
There have been reports in the past year that Microsoft was developing a new smartwatch along with Internet connected eyewear that could be a competitor to Google Glass. Today's new rumor claims that Kipman, who helped to develop the Kinect technology at Microsoft, has been tasked with looking into experimental wearable devices for the company to see if they could be released as a commercial product. Kipman's team is also working on ways to run Windows on much smaller screens.

That sounds very cool. I love seeing advances in tech like this.
