Very unfortunate how much censorgate is here when we are not allowed to discuss current gaming industry relevant news and trends. Like @Dno69 said before, the current gaming industry is blurring the lines of whether we should be merging everything these days but some want to stay in the past. Oh well.
Next Xbox very different reportedly as per Tom Warren:

Reason questions to ask, and truths can often make people feel sad, angry. Even more so when one has emotional attachment to the subject of reference.
I got it, if you like something, you will not like to keep hearing people knocking on the something you like.
Just as analogy. If this is a baseball forum, and someone keep knocking on baseball and how hockey is better, it reasonable to tell them to shut up and go to Hockey forum. But if this is a team sport forum, the the NBL keep getting into news for bad reasons. Are we not allow to give out criticism just not to offend the Baseball fans?
I am trying to be as respectful as possible, to say what I think. But if people dislike uncomfortable truth or views, (which is any negative against xbox) I will shut up. It will not change my opinion, non everyone else that think the same but did not speak up, and the reality of the issues.

You can say anything you want about Xbox. But we have confirmation already that there will be continued new generations of Xbox consoles. Xbox has more studios ever in the history of the brand. Xbox is making more profit and more revenue than ever in the history of the brand. Sataya has stated they have over 500 million users in their Xbox ecosystem. Microsoft Windows PC gaming and Xbox Cloud gaming is growing.
They are releasing the most first party games ever in the history of the brand. They have moved on from console wars, as has Nintendo. The only one left still grasping at the 90s is PS. They have got complancent. The PS5 is still selling, though dropping. Still hasn't matched the PS4 in sales, and is having a record game drought of first party developed games and is relying on money hatted 3rd party games. They can't keep CEO's, they moved their focus to GaaS and are slowly spreading their IPs to PCs, consoles, mobile and cloud, but at a rate that may sink them.
So while PS only gamers are port begging for Xbox games daily, waiting and anticipating the release of Avowed, South of Midnight, Halo Infinite, Forza to drop on their console, which has only 1 first party developed game with a release year, over 30 million Xbox Series gamers will keep playing Xbox Game Studios games on day 1.
They sure aren't missing anything by not having a PS for first party developed games.
The problem isn't saying something bad about Xbox. We have all said it. But when some usual suspects post news about Xbox, they only post negative news. And they scour the bowels of social media and litter up an awesome forum with complete Xbox trash tweets from nobodys.
Xbox has moved on. If a gamer doesn't like the direction Xbox has moved on to, maybe it's time they look to switching to PC or Nintendo. It's not changing.
I just don't want this forum shilled up with tribalist posts from some random s***stain sitting behind the keyboard masturbating to screenshots of Concord and Fairgame$.
And if we put them on ignore, we can't see threads that they started about games we enjoy.
So with that said, I bought and paid for Avowed. It is predownloaded. I will be playing it today, on my Xbox. PS fans won't. They are sitting at home either waiting on Ghost of Yotei and a release date, or they are doing another 45 second speedrun of a free Astrobot level.
You do you. I prefer to play great games from Xbox (and PS).
Nothing wrong with posting actual *news and announcements*, but when every thread turns into a bash MS/XB thread and then the social media opinion and rumors posts…

Funny a certain poster here doesn’t post Sony/PS news 24/7 towards all the cancelled projects/games Sony did recently. How they are reworking everything. Doesn’t wanna post that negativity. Nope he’s too busy digging up every negative MS/XB news and social media post he can find to get a reaction out of people.
I don't mind Xbox news. We have a place to put said information. However, a poster is banned from posting in said area and therefore continues to flood other threads with that information.
General should just be general. A place where a thread for it doesn't exist.
If you can't post about it because you don't have access shouldn't mean you can just drop it someplace else.
Edit: Oh and sometimes it's already a news item that's being or have been discussed and since that user can't see, it's being dropped in a random thread.

There is a big difference between reading a negative opinion and reading that same negative opinion over and over across multiple threads day after day.
I feel like it's time for a new format for all media. BR/DVD is pretty old school now.
