Damn
Ugh! That new character does NOT look like a Mortal Kombat character! Obviously just a first impression, but... WTF? We need more dark/KOOL/Kung FU inspired looking characters in MK. That looks like something out of Overwatch or something...

She's an elder go who controls all kinds of elements so I'll give them a pass lol. Trailer in the link

Eh. Still doesn't fit, imo. Honestly one of the least interesting characters so far.
Needs some more hips too, if you ask me
She looks like Swamp Thing's significant other.
Yeah, especially disappointing in light of how sweet the last several reveals have been. Her abilities interest me but I'm not too excited about her either, especially when you see how cool Noob Saibot looked just a week and a half ago.
She is next level in power.
I am very intrigued with the character. Bits of Raiden, Poison Ivy, Tremor, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion in one.
Also makes me think of The Enchantress mixed with The Atom.
Yeah I thought injustice when I saw her fatality.
I kind of like her because she doesn't fit. The story for MK11 is total chaos. I mean you could say the same for Chronika and to some extent Geras resembling INJUSTICE characters.
Also, what MK fans playing INJUSTICE 2 have ever wanted to finish with a Fatality? So maybe in a way you can here.
I'm also a long time Raiden fan obviously and I think he exists between these 2 extremes of MK or seemingly INJUSTICE 2 style characters as a God entering the fray by self Nerfing.
I suppose another odd thing is the cool more old school characters have mostly physical attacks making it more personal, so it might seem weird to have this character who is minimal on punches and kicks with no weapons versus heavy sorcery attacks.
Of course, it remains to be seen how Shang Tsung will play aside from his expected shape shifting.
Or..... who remembers this?
The more I watch the trailer the more I appreciate what's gone into her, she is an elder god so we can hardly expect her to look like the rest of the characters. I still think her fatality is a bit silly though, that beam should have been way bigger when it hit Jade lol.
I wouldn't count on Shang shapeshifting too much, I think in MK9 he could only turn into the opponent, I know there are some technical limitations now that they didn't have back with the old games that make that too hard to pull off.
Raiden at least has some kung fu flavor. Chronica and Geras still seem ok for some reason, though I agree they are leaning a bit more Injustice. I'd rather the games be more distinct from each other from a design perspective, tbh...I kind of like her because she doesn't fit. The story for MK11 is total chaos. 60fps on Switch.... Not hard with a dated engine but good news regardless.
Animations are part of the package.Dated, lol. Show me a better looking fighter. Even if you don't like the animation, the actual rendering is unmatched.

Guilty Gear on PS4 looks and moves better as does SFV.

Guilty Gear uses UE 3 and SFV uses UE4, lol. They do not look better, imo at least. Haha, dated.Animations are part of the package.

It's not though as all of Nevergoods games look similar and use UE 3.Not when you are talking about the engine they don't. There is nothing their engine (highly modded UE3) doesn't do that a "newer" engine is doing. Your comment about the engine being dated as if it's having a negative impact is patently absurd.
It's an arbitrary use of a term that doesn't apply to this game. You use it to diminish it for some reason, but for whatever reason you are dissing it for, the engine is doing its job wonderfully.
The style of the animation has nothing to do with the engine.
I can't even, but hey; opinions. I am, however, of the opinion that you sir, are blind. It's not though as all of Nevergoods games look similar and use UE 3.
GG looks and moves way better/makes better use of the engine.
SFV is a generation better FACT
