GameTrailers lays off a number of long-time employees just a day after being acquired

After months of rumors, GameTrailers.com was offically sold to Viacom subsidiary Defy Media (owners of Escapist Magazine and Alloy Digital) earlier this week. Now, only a day after the conclusion of E3, multiple long-time GameTrailers employees have been laid off from the company. Jeremy Hoffman (Producer of GT.TV), Ryan Stevens (GameTrailers Director), Rohan Rivas (Senior Manager of Programing), Daniel Kayser (Host Of GT.TV), Rich Brown (Voice Of GT Countdown/Awards) and Rob Manuel (GameTrailers Producer) have taken to Twitter to announce their departure after years of employment.
