I'm not sure this is post worthy, but I had the volume way up for a video that was really quite, then switched over to a youtube video not thinking "I should turn this down first"

It didn't actually blow up, but the lights in my room went out and everything shut down, TV, PC, clock everything. WTF?

So I'm like "holy s*** I just destroyed my receiver" and yet everything works still.

I guess that's like a built in thing? I've just never had that happen ever in my life.

So, Yamaha is good s***.

Just the strangest thing, but probably something built into the circuit.

Phew!

Built in breaker? Or blew your breakers?

Built in breaker, must have been.

Yeah just was a weird thing. Good to know I guess?

Just so bizarre that it took out every electrical thing in the room, and then powered back up when I hit the button, and everything else was fine too.

Volume was reset upon reboot, like -77db I think it read (yamaha volume operates on -db, -3.5 being the point at which distortion is not possible but anything more and there could be)
