Need help with Windows 8

Ok, so I got a MS surface Pro and I noticed that my HDD space was quickly disappearing. Today I decided to find out why, and it appears that Internet Explorer is using up ridiculous amounts(6GB) in its temp folder.

The folder is located at, C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\windows_ie_ac_001\AC\INetCache.

Can I empty this folder or not?

Searching on the web throws up very little help.

Yes, it is just cached webpages you have visited over time to help them load faster. You can empty it.

I have no viruses or anything either.

Get my pc,
open IE,
go to google,
download chrome, use chrome
IE-The chrome downloader!
