Hoping it comes out soon, saving warranty for it.

First gen is so cheaply made. Grips fall off and bumpers break.

It's strange, my elite felt like a real premium product and I can't really go back to play without paddles now, but my grip is starting to come off and I've had to order a new set of sticks because a small part that attached the stick broke... even had to take the whole controller apart to fix it. Have had 7 x360 controllers and 4 (not including elite) xbox one controllers that still works flawlessly.

Yes elite controllers have awful durability. Once I saw my buddies grips come off of his I said there 0 way I'm paying 150 for that junk.

Yea, I got it as a gift and can't go back to playing without paddles. And it feels great... until the grip comes off or the bumper breaks.

My grips came off too, but I bought the SCUFF grip replacement and it's been better than ever. I had to buy replacement bumpers too. I have had no problem with the sticks. Now it's all fixed up, Its back to the best ever. Can't go back now.

I was embarrassed paying all that money and having the grips because of a couple bad drops but glad I'm not the only one having problems.

Love the controller just not the crappy durability.

Agree, they should offer everyone new grips. The whole section actually snaps right off - you can buy replacements on Amazon but it's like $40 for the pair.

you can replace grips? You mean the rubber grips from the back?
Show me the link because mine is coming off.

Amazon product

A bit pricier than I remember, but they are nice.

I also had to get these to replace a broken bumper.

The durability of the controller shocks me, as one- it's expensive, and two- it doesn't feel cheap or poorly put together.

Well, I guess it's put together well, but a couple components just aren't strong enough...

You guys must be gripping the f*** outta your grips. My day one elite is flawless and the grips are like day one.

That said I will buy 2.0 day one of course. They will probably have better grips too!

Hmmm 2.0 gripes, maybe they’ll be “textured, for your pleasure” :p sorry, had to go there >,<

Microsoft’s work on enabling disadvantage gamers to play as comfortably as possible isn’t over yet. What started with the awesome programmable Xbox Adaptive Controller is set to continue with a new device that outputs braille.
Microsoft patented the new technology in October 2018, but the documents involving the designs were only made public on May 2nd.
The designs show a standard Xbox One pad that has a braille display attachment on the rear with six paddles extending from the sides. The braille display can show text or audio through braille. This could be used for reading tutorials, menus or livestream chats on apps like Twitch.

...braille.... for a game console controller... for the... blind people?

They'd better f#@king fix the rubberized grip area, I've had no less than 3 of these things and the rubber grip on the back gets loose and starts peeling away. Always exchanged it for a new one, thank god for replacement plans...

Definitely a major flaw on an otherwise amazing controller. When that happened to mine, I put on some aftermarket grips that work great. The bumpers need to be made of sterner stuff as well. If you've ever replaced them, it's just a thin bit of plastic inside holding them together.

Mine are still solid, day one. I must not play as much as you guys.
