Im having a new home built and a deal I made with the wife is that she has control over all decor but I get to build a complete now home theater system. So I got the following:
2 of these-Speakers
Center-Center
2 subs-Subs
TV-TV
Have these for the left/right surround. Going with in-walls-Surrounds
These for the rear surrounds. Since its an open floor plan doing in ceiling behind the seating area.-Rear Surrounds
These for Atmos height-Height
Im keeping my Pioneer VSX-lx503 for now due to budget. Im probably going to get some separate amplifiers to run each channel.
Cant wait for future movie nights..
I know the wife isnt going to "like" the speakers up front, but a deal is a deal and I told her up front my plans. She loves movie night and action/disaster movies in particular, so I think she will be ok. We are going to be getting a console to sit under the tv to house the a/v components and I think that will balance out the look of the speakers against the TV wall.

Can you return your two R-120SW subs? SVS is currently running their annual Memorial day sale and there's a couple subs still available that you should really consider. The PB-1000 at $399 would be a massive upgrade, capable of sound reproduction below 20hz which is staggering. SVS offers free shipping and free returns...you have nothing to lose!

Damn I'm jealous my dream would be to build a home and do what you're doing, but with prices well over 1 million for a shoebox I doubt I'll be doing that in my city.

I 2nd the SVS recommendation. I have a SB 1000, and a SB2000 Pro. Amazing subs, their SVS elevation speakers are great for atmos as well.

Would love to do that but one of the subs is one I have had a couple years and I just bought the second one to match.
Ill also definitely be upgrading the ceiling speakers at some point but Ive maxed my budget out for now on this.

I too love my klipsch rpf600s, but every other speaker is a different brand atm. Some old Sony’s for rears, jbl center, an ancient Sony receiver, and the sub is a older monoprice.

I remember someone recommending rb42s and waiting to see what TeKPhaN recommends on a new receiver because the last one I bought on his recommendation was phenomenal, but overkill for my simple setup lol but I sold it to my brother, kinda flipped it lol

If you have to buy a new one..I would get one of the new Pioneer,Yamaha or Onkyo's

For Atmos speakers the SVS Elevations are great.

Getting settled in finally. 13 hr drive in a 26' uhaul pulling the largest trailer they have. Still had to get a pod for some stuff. Moving is a nightmare, especially a couple states away.
Need to get the crown Moulding done to hide the wires for the surround system still....

I have 4 of the Klipsch CDT-5800-C speakers in the ceiling. Still have to get the in ceiling monoprice angled speakers for the rear installed. 7.2.4 system.

Ended up buying these, like I said, not super focused on high quality, just something to get me into the Atmos realm at this point. They dont have banana plug terminals which is kinda a bummer but that's to be expected for 160 for the pair. My whole set up is 100% banana plugged. I can either place these on top of my front floor standers or they can also be mounted as height speakers with the included bracket.
