I'd still rather it be third person though, but we'll see, not like it will cost me anything extra to play.

I had a little bit of hope for the game until finding out it was first person. It looks good, but I want nothing to do with a game that plays in first person with jumping and climbing. If there was a toggle, that would be great.

Game looks great and fun. Saw a couple of characters from raiders of the lost ark. Only one I didn't see was Salah and Miriam.

Climbing is third person unless, I suppose, you're doing it in combat.

It will use id Tech 7 with a few new features. After Doom Eternal, id’s not going to cook up a brand new engine for a game that’s not built internally. That would be a development nightmare, as id fixes bugs Machine Games is reporting across time zones and halting development.

The best test of an engine is to build a game with it. Using engines that haven’t been in a shipped game has screwed developers time and time again. Troika, Silicon Knights, Visceral, BioWare, the list goes on and on.

As well as id Tech 7 works on console and PC, they'd be fools not to use it. IMO its one of the best proprietary engines out there.

Let's see. If the first four Xbox games sell well enough for them , they just might pull the trigger. Sort of like how Sony has been capitalizing on PC ports these days.
Could also depend on how well it does on Xbox and PC, if it’s in the range of pentiment and sadly hifi rush it may get a release. But if it does as expected or better it may stay exclusive.
