The 7800x3d. In gaming there is like an 18%-30% uplift against the the 5800. If Building a new rig go with the 7800x3d.
If building a new computer go with the 7800X3D. The AM4 socket is dead but if you already have an AM4 MB like me it makes more sense to go with the 5800X3D. Again for a brand new build 7800X3D all the way.
That's a horrible price for a 5800X3D, they e been widely spotted at well under 300 dollars.
The better investment and performer is the 7800X3D as you will have a platform (AM5) for the future.
Building something new. Going from a pc that was kitbashed from a friend. Worked great, but need something that could do both art work and some gaming.
I’ve sinned and brought upon me a 4090, coming from a 760. Got six tb of storage. And a case. And that’s about it lol. Waiting on paying off half of the gpu before a move forward unless I see a really good deal.
I feel like I bite off more than I could chew

Did you buy this? If so congrats and love for going all out.Building something new. Going from a pc that was kitbashed from a friend. Worked great, but need something that could do both art work and some gaming.

Oh yeah I get that I was just talking about console settings vs PC in most games, very few games seem to even have path tracing as an option right now.
Haven’t bought anything from the list, that’s what the artist bought, which I was gonna use as a reference.
Take it ya got some suggestions?

I can't make suggestions because I'm in Canada so when I click the links it oddly tells me "this link will take you away from Youtube are you sure blah blah"
Which is weird because I'm not on Youtube......
Anyway I can't see the prices because it takes me to amazon.ca
Sounds like a fantastic build though.
Just made the move. Now time to setup my stuff and get a few new things with it, stay tuned!
So I ended up replacing my Ryzen 3800X for a Ryzen 5700x3D. Glad AMD is supporting the AM4 chipset for this long.
This is for now. I have a few more things coming. I love this setup!
New mic and boom arm day. Logitech Blue Sona, this is a 350 dollar mic that I got for 200 on sale.
