Nintendo has released some new screen for Super Mario 3D world. The game looks gorgeous. While the Wii U doesn't have much right now this is surely to make many a Christmas list. C'mon Nintendo, deliver like we know you can!

That s*** looks glorious, finally something to justify my purchase of Wii U.
 
Wii U really has some promising games coming. And the Gamepad really is useful for some games. It's a shame that the Wii U is struggling a little on sales.

It's because people cannot justify paying 350 for a console that has current gen graphics when you can get an already established PS3 and X360 for much cheaper.
 
This is sure to give Wii U a holiday push. A Mario game has never looked this damn good, kudos to Nintendo.
 
Wow that looks friggin' awesome! With this a WWHD, the WiiU might just justify a purchase from me. If the X1 and Ps4 weren't releasing this year I definitely would buy it for these 2 games. Now I'll just have to wait, but this does spark my interest.

And is that Mario wearing a Goomba outfit in one of those screens!? Schweeet.
 
Brings back memories of Mario 64, but as much as I'd like to play this game, I'm not playing on that tablet controller.

I think Nintendo needs to get this system to $199 asap. But the 360 nor the PS3 have these types of games. At least not with the charm and playability of Nintendo's games.
 
I'll be there for Nintendo when they go back to making high-powered consoles with real controllers, or when they go third party. I'm sorry to say that haven't been excited for a Nintendo game since Twilight Princess for those reasons. :really:

I often wonder if Nintendo will ever create a high powered console that can compete with whatever is in the current gen. I'd really like to see that.

Agreed, and that's Nintendo's whole MO is their 1st party games.

WOW not quite XB1/PS4 but above this gens consoles visuals :)
Id be kool with this PQ along side the other next gen formats.

They just dropped it and the big boys are releasing at much higher prices.... I would test this Christmas and next springs sales as releases are coming and the big boys are priced much higher so people might see the Wii U as a lower priced alternative.. If they still don't move more consoles after the bigger titles release then Nintendo should announce a $50 price drop along with A new Zelda,Mario,Metroid etc @ E3.
 
I really wish that Nintendo would go 100% 3rd party except for handhelds. Can you imagine Mario or Zelda on the PS4 or X1?

I don't want to see them go from the console scene either, but I fear the WiiU is already becoming obsolete. Could be trouble for them.

I always wondered why they don't, but when I think about the games they make, they probably don't need a powerful console for Mario kart games and Mario platform games.

If nintendo had the most powerful console next gen I would probably buy that instead of a PS4 as I haven't played all their games for so long. But they just need to make some adult games once in a while, or more often.Also if they had a more powerful console more 3rd party devs wuld make games for their console.
 
Doesn't anyone notice something? They placed the camera much much closer to the characters this time, compared to the footage they have shown so far, where the camera was way too far away. I hated that about Mario 3D Land and it made Mario 3D World look way too similar to it. I hope you play the game like this, still...it wont change the fact that the levels are very similar to Mario 3D Land...and I hate that.

Well, 3rd party support is going to kill them this gen seeing as no 3rd party dev wants to develop for Wii U when they have the Xb1 and PS4 to mess with which will have a huge install base when the Wii U does not.
 
Looks awesome, to bad it's so late to the party, these are the types of games the Wii U needed at launch. Is it still on track to release this holiday, be a shame to have it pushed back.
 
Nintendo is going to put out some gorgeous games on the Wii U. This is just the first of many.
