Did anyone, like, mention NX at all in the previous thread?

I think there were a few posts ... less than 10, I think.

Are they supposed to reveal the NX in September? I've forgotten.

Why does Neo have more pixels than Scorpio?

This pretty much confirms Andy's bias.

I was waiting for someone to ask me why the previous thread title had Scorpio first, but this one had Neo first. I was preparing my defense. Order of appearance! Alphabetical!

Its a VS thread and Nintendo isn't relevant in versus threads. Funny it used to be all about games and now its all about which future system is more powerful. And the goal posts continue their constant movement

Nice thread pic. I might have to use that as a future avatar.

Nah.. that wouldn't be any fun.

[Response to spoiler] Oh please. Comparing hardware specs and capabilities *IS* making it about the games; specifically, which system will have better versions of the games which will come out on all major platforms.

Console comparisons have *always* been about the marriage of hardware and software. One is dependent on the other. Uncharted 4 doesn't happen on PS3, because it couldn't run it. AC Unity doesn't happen on last gen hardware because it can't run it.

Hardware discussions matter and always have, and such discussions very much *ARE* making it about the games.

If you felt that way you would have 3 years worth of posts saying how much better the PS4 is than the X1

No I wouldn't. That's illogical. You're making assumptions to jump to such a conclusion.

AC Unity doesn't happen on last gen hardware because it can't run it.

From what it sounded like at launch, current gen hardware couldn't run it either.

AC Unity didn't release on last gen consoles because no one is gaming on outdated hardware. That's all.

EA exec says publisher is '100 percent' behind Project Scorpio

As Sony prepares to follow suit with its very own hardware upgrade, codenamed Neo, and with console VR almost here, the EA exec welcomes the extra firepower and possibilities those upmarket systems will bring.

"If you're a developer, when you make games, you always want more capacity. You always want to bring more to the players. We're truly excited about this," said Soderlund.

As for those consumers worried about the idea of Scorpio and Neo exclusives, Soderlund says it's important console-makers keep the ecosystem intact, because from a development standpoint, creating a game for different console iterations is "actually really straightforward."

"We have an engine in Frostbite that is dynamic and scaleable. It's an engine that today supports substantially all known PC platforms and DirectX 9, 10, 11, 12," he added. "Given that these machines are almost PC architecture inside of them, they are not that difficult for us to develop for."

Theres going to be some beautiful EA games on the way. Very excited.

I guess this means I'm going to need to ditch my gaming laptop and upgrade again after next year.

What did I miss in the V1 thread?

I think approximately 834 quintillion posts about which TV to buy, #insert poster name here# being #insert poster name here# and at least two appearances of the letters N and X together (though I think one was a joke about a bulge in Andy's spanx).

What did I miss in the V1 thread?

TV TV TV. We've come full circle.

nah, j/k. Nothing dramatic. Scorpio beats Neo in the power department. Lots of discussion about 4K. Some discussion about HDR. Some talk about Neo specs, rumors.

The image makes sense

Neo. Big, loud, pounds his chest but dies at the end

NX. Low key, ignored by all

Scorpio. Quiet, but deadly. Been around for probably a billion years and will continue to thrive

I think I have, or most of it.

2 was just a big WTF. Didn't bother with the finale.
Watch paint dry is better than the final movie. I'll summarize the last movie for you.

- Neo and Smith fight
- Tons of machine gun fighting vs Matrix swarm robots
- The end
