Monster Hunter 3 is fun... a real time sink lol. Have it for the Wii and 3DS but never got the U version.

finally got a copy of Panzer Dragon Saga for the Saturn :txbsmile:

Def not Nintendo related but explains why i have not been on here or using the WiiU, this game no matter how grainy it is by todays standards is mind blowing good. How does Sega not be like Square and port it to everything under the sun ?

Damn Sega, No Shenmue, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Phantasy Star, Virtua On ? Seriously if any games could use the HD treatment I would start there lol

Have to take a long break from Bravely Default. I am about 47 hours in and I am a bit burned out with it. Anyone pick up Yoshi's New Island?

I almost pulled the trigger on a Wii U yesteday with Mario 3d, I had it in my cart for in store pick up at Target with 10% off and I backed out last second. I know by May ill have to have one for Mario Kart so I should just do it now, I was hoping in the Sunday ad they would do another deal with a $25 gift card, I see that sometimes but not this week.

Definitely get 3D World when you do buy it the game is amazing.

Give Platinum a chance and invest in the Wonderful 101 :). You won't regret it :). Think Bayonetta meets Pikmin meets steroids and s*** loads of refferences to Anime, Arcade gaming and Nintendo/SEGA gaming of old :).

We are? but but... Mario Kart is coming out soon! :p.

Just because Titan "YOU BLEW UP MY MECH BRO!" Fall and Infamous: Second Dudeski came out, doesn't mean we are in a drought for having our Donkey Kong fun earlier this month ;). And it is Spring, spring is always slow :).

I am finally pulling the trigger and buying a Wii U this week, possibly today. Target has the $25 gift card deal and my fiancee has a red card and the pharmacy rewards so I will get another 10% off. I am just going to grab a Wii remote and Mario 3D for now so we can play some co op. I owned a Wii U before and we already beat the other Mario and Luigi DLC but I am sure we will play through that again, what a great game. My son is 2 1/2 yrs old so worse case I will play through it again with him in a couple years.

I wanted Donkey Kong but reading how hard and frustrating it can be turned me off, maybe ill grab it down the road. I am really looking forward to Mario Kart, that is the main reason I am re buying this thing but Mario 3D looks fantastic. I don't need 2 Wii remotes for co op right?

Welcome brother! Here is your ominous robe, your fake moustache and ointment to help with the remaining pains from the probing. We are more than happy to have you amongst us, and we will refrain from the usual "one of us.. one of us" jokes.
The fake moustache is for the time it takes for you to grow yourself a real one, unless you wish to be an effeminate large eared hero of time or otherwise "of the fay folk" in which case I will be glad to help you out.

All joking asside, I am certain you will not regret your purchase. It is a scrappy little machine that grows on you and actually has quite a few exclusives. Also it's fans are quite welcoming and enjoy retro gaming, as is clearly shown in this section of UnionVGF. And don't let the hardness... erm I mean Dificulty of Donkey Kong turn you off. It is a really nice game that is quite easy to get into but dificult to Master. I think however you can also play Mario 3D with the classic ontroler in COOP. But I'm not sure, I haven't played that one yet. Still trying to get through every nook and cranny of Wonderful 101 myself :p.

If you ever want to introduce your son into the 80's/90's Anime/Movie/Tokatsu Movie/Scifi than get that game :). It's very tongue and cheek with some adult jokes for the parents. But it has some very memorable moments that just are nostalgic as crazy :).

Sorry for my rant and welcome back to the family :).

Congrats ! Mario 3dworld does not disappoint as a single player game and can only imagine how fun it would be with another player.

Donkey Kong is not brutal like DKCR but it does have it's challenges. I would recommend it to anybody who enjoys platformers

Nintendo has 50 Unity games on the way to Wii U

The company also said it might add Unity support to the 3DS.

Nintendo was showing nine Unity games at GDC last week and said it has another 17 that will release within the next two months.

“And then, we have another fifty that are waiting in the wings,” Senior Manager of Marketing at Nintendo of America’s Licensing department Damon Baker told Siliconera. “So we’ve got a lot of Unity content on the way.”

The large number of Unity games headed to Wii U is the result of a deal Nintendo and Unity Technologies made in 2012. The deal gave Nintendo the right to distribute the Unity development platform to its in-house, external, and third party licensee developers.

Unity is one of the most popular game development tools among indie developers. Nintendo highlighted it during GDC in order to “demonstrate to developers how easy it is for them to bring their creative ideas to Nintendo systems," vice president of Licensing at Nintendo of America Steve Singer said.

Baker said that now that Unity on Wii U is finalized, Nintendo has had discussions and is definitely “looking at” adding Unity support to the Nintendo 3DS. “We’ve got a lot of developers that want to take advantage of it,” he told Siliconera. “So, we’re working towards that as well. But nothing to announce at this time.”

I really wish I could buy a virtual console game and have it for 3ds and Wii U. Was going to download a couple Mega Man games but can't decide what to buy them for. I'm thinking 3ds though.

Anyone have any 3ds virtual console recommendations? I have the ambassador games, Mario Land 1 and 2, Links Awakening, and a few others. I'm interested in the Oracle games, I've never finished either.

The only ones I have are the Sega 3d games and they are done really well but they are more arcade/action games than adventure.
 
I picked up my Wii U today with Mario 3D and a Wii remote! $25 gift card with the purchase plus 10% off so not bad. I might grab Donkey Kong and the Wii U Pro Controller at some point. I already played through the Mario and Luigi DLC that comes with it but ill play that again down the road, really looking forward to Mario 3D and Mario Kart, probably wont buy much else for it.

Do any of you have the Pro Commander for Wii U. Its the Nyko pro controller, I normally hate 3rd party stuff but it has descent reviews on Amazon and its pretty cheap plus I like the stick layout since its like the Xbox controller which is what I am used to.

Game Boy Advance Games Coming to Wii U Virtual Console Soon

The first Game Boy Advance title is hitting the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe next week.
The Wii U UK Facebook page announced that the turn-based strategy classic Advance Wars will hit the Virtual Console April 3. The highly-rated GBA title is the only one announced for the Virtual Console so far.
Wii U's Virtual Console currently offers dozens of classic NES and SNES titles. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced in January that the console will soon get Nintendo DS games that will be playable on the Wii U Gamepad.
