Nintendo is up to something. On April 2 the Mario maker filed a new trademark application for a game called "Code name: S.T.E.A.M. Strike Team Eliminating The Alien Menace."

The filing (via Gematsu) is listed as a video game, but that's all we know about it. Presumably, it will involve laying waste to some enemy alien faction in some manner.

The trademark application, filed with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), lists Nintendo of America as its owner. We have reached out to the company for comment.

PAX East will be held this week in Boston, Mass., but Nintendo is not attending. Tomorrow, Nintendo will hold a special Super Smash Bros.-themed Nintendo Direct at 6 p.m. EDT.

Definitely seems like this concept could be pretty different that your "typical Nintendo game". Would be nice to see.

Wonderful 102? Nah, but I really hoe that over the top game gets a neat sequel with the same amount of references, awesome , music, fabulous, graphics... and above all things: WONDERFUL!

BTW, I must be getting old, but what is this Lemming vs Cows thing on Gamespot? I find it a bit odd that they call the Xbox Fanboys Lemmings, while Sony actually owns the rights to that game. Yet the Sony fans they call cows? But Microsoft is from Redmond Seattle...

Now unless Kurt Cobain was a liar, I think those two should be switched around ;).

Not from Earth, so that equals alien in my book.
People people please!
Samus is a lovely precious lady that is just as lovely and beautiful as any other lady, if not more so. Especially as this lady is able to blow your head off 10 times before you even hit the ground dead. So be a bit nicer ;).
