I've thought about buying it for PC as well, but guess I should at least try it on PS4 first. I'm in the middle of Witcher 2 and for the past couple of weeks have just been bleh on gaming. Maybe something new would get me out of the funk.

Had it for PC and decided to fire it up again. I've been enjoying it so far. Not sure the staying power, but that's fine. If anyone wants to join up on PC, let me know.

It’s sort of a zen exploration game. I can see the allure of upgrading your bases/ship/multitool over time in a Minecraft sort of way.

Probably going to finally jump into this today. Have only put like 2 hours of gaming in the last couple of weeks so maybe this will get me interested again.

Well initially had some good rage at this game. First planet was like walking through Chernobyl. Kept restarting to try to find a chill ass planet to just roam and found a decent one. After putting in a few hours though I'm really enjoying it. Just got to my first planet from the starting one. Kind of wish I had this on PC though as it's a real slideshow on PS4.

Started playing last Saturday. I'm 18 hours in. Upgraded my exosuit and multitool plus got my first freighter. Banking so much money with my upgraded scanner and now sending my freighter out on expeditions. Life is good.

Not joking, is anyone still playing this? Must be if they are making content still.

Yea seems to have a dedicated player base. I still wander around in it, I find No Mans Sky and Forza games to be my relaxation games.

I'm curious how the game would be scored if it released today in this updated state.

It definitely would score better probably around ~85 meta i'm thinking, people who need a lot of structure in their games will probably never enjoy NMS. Also i'm not sure it would still meet the hype that a lot of people had for it, but its very much improved over the base game. Base building and coop were huge additions alone. One thing I can think of that I would really like to be added would be colonized planets.

Wow, looks like they have added a ton of features since I last played. Might have to fire this up again,

This is how the game should have launched. So much more to craft. Base building looks like it is good. Still the same game but more fleshed out, easier to do things thanks to lots of QOL changes.

I'm actually enjoying it.

Do all you need is the base game NMS to get all the updates and stuff they’ve added to the game for free? It’s on sale digitally for $25 on the MS store. I’ve wanted to try this game out for awhile.

Yep, that's all you need. Everything since launch has been free updates.

I played it for a bit maybe last year or year before, sometime after they added one of the big updates. Seemed like a fun game but I don't think the open world do whatever you want works for me anymore. Although I suppose if I had a crew to fly around with it might be more enjoyable.

6 out of 10. Problem is it is still the same game it was back when it released, there is just more of it. Only difference would be less controversy spread throughout the review.
