6 out of 10. Problem is it is still the same game it was back when it released, there is just more of it. Only difference would be less controversy spread throughout the review.
Yeah, played it right after that huge update that seemed to make most media outlets not hating on it anymore.
Didn't enjoy it at all I'm afraid... I'm sure I played it wrong, but running around hiding from sentinels and animals when trying to mine materials for whatever it is that's supposed to take me from the barren planet I just landed on just isn't fun... at all.
I did find it interesting when on space station trying to learn alien languages though. But then it's right out there again, mining and running away all over again.

I’m still enjoying the game. I got to a second planet and started base building.

If you don’t like exploring, surviving, and gathering resources like in say Minecraft then yes you’ll not like this for long. I for one like that about these types of games.

Has Sea of Thieves had a ton of extra content added to it? Last time I played it there was like only three types of missions and that was it.

yes....ask GordoSan

Cool. I'll need to give it a go again so and see what its like these days. it was very bare bones when it came out.
It's a much different game now, IMO. Hardly recognizable as the same game as launch right from the menu screen on, IMO. New Story chapters and new abilities have been added monthly. I won't get into particulars on this thread, though, but I do feel like there's multiple sequels worth of content.

I've heard a lot of content update similarities between these 2 titles, in how the respective launch versions did not reflect the scope and detail of the design at later stages. I'm kind of ashamed to say that I've never actually played NMS. It totally seems like my kind if game. Just so many games, so little time!

It’s like sea of thieves, in space?

anyone else think they may get bought out by ms?

Last I checked on Sea of Thieves (about 6 months ago) it looked to be more or less the exact same. So no, it's not SoT in space, It's far better than that.
