Timed exclusive content maybe but I don't see them going single platform again anytime soon

No rumours just speculation.

If Sony is sniffing around buying them even a little bit there is a decent chance they are working with Sony on something since Sony has never bought anyone they didn't work with first. Plus Shu visited them and Remedy visited Naughty Dog and Insomniac. Also spoke to Kojima about publishers. Kojima has only worked with two publishers.

But either way I doubt Alan Wake 2 happens. Maybe a remaster to try and drum up interest.

But we have nothing to say Sony want to buy them. Just fanboys looking for Sony to counter the studio's MS have bought.

Remedy visit R* but no one's saying they or Take Two are buying them

Pushsquare put out an article saying they have/had interest. Its questionable if they have credibility but multiple ERA insiders backed it up.

We know for a fact that Sony is looking at acquisitions. It has nothing to do with fanboys.

A PS only website said that you say...

Like the Nintendo site's that said Scalebound would be announced for Switch at E3

Or the xbox sites that would claim stuff like the entire MGS series coming to xbox and so on.

And multiple credible insiders on era said it too. Ones that people here have no problem believing when it comes to Xbox news.

But I'm with you on made up Scalebound rumors tho ;)

Have we seen any xbox buyout rumours? A few things saying MS wasn't done but I don't remember anyone leaking Double Fine?

Only thing these so called insiders claimed was a big MS/Nintendo announcement and yeah look how that worked out... we got Banjo in Smash

"I haven't said this publicly but, between each project, after the first game, with a smaller crew, we created a concept for a sequel," Lake told IGN. From the way Lake discusses them, they sound like general concepts, but they eventually found their way into later games, including spinoff American Nightmare, Quantum Break, and even Control. The team tried it after the first, and again after Quantum Break. From the sounds of it, this has been a recurring inquiry for Remedy.

"Coming out of Quantum Break, we created a concept, a new concept, very different, for Alan Wake 2," Lake says. "We were looking at it, we were talking about it with potential partners. Ultimately we came to the conclusion that this doesn't feel like Alan Wake."

Ideas from that game that ultimately felt alien to Alan Wake—the mission-based setting and open-ended gameplay for example—eventually fed into Control. In a way, Remedy's been reinventing Alan Wake ever since it first launched the original. But Lake intimates that expectations would be high for a true Alan Wake sequel.

"At this point, so much time having passed, I feel that the bar is higher in some ways," Lake says. "It's like it needs to be done right, if it's ever done."

In the full interview Sam Lake says they went to Microsoft with Alan Wake 2 after QB and they weren't interested

Which doesn't really mesh with Phil Spencer once saying that Remedy has to want to make it
