Reactions: The Wolf King

Since I'm a strong believer of the Bible, I highly doubt this movie will be as accurate as the Bible being explained in the book of Genesis. However, there are a lot of great actors/actresses (Russell Crowe, Anthony, Emma Watson, etc.) that'll be in the movie and I probably will end up watching it in the theater once it comes out.

Evan Almighty was, and is, an awesome movie. I had a good time watching it with my wife couple of years ago. :)

This actually looks like it will be a reasonably good movie. Lots of good actors, lots of good special effects, but a fairly anticlimactic story. I'm guessing Aronofsky et al have toyed around with the standard tale a bit to make it more suited for the screen, but I'm wondering how the ending will be anything amounting to more than "Well, let's start having sex."

I wonder if some competing studio will release their own "Noah" movie, probably directed by Roland Emerich.

I saw a BBC series about the Bible, and one episode was about Noah, it was really interesting. It wasn't disrespectful, but it looked at the events that would have seemed to people in those days like how it was explained in the Bible. Like they think he might have been a trader who operated on the river, but a massive flood took him out to sea and it would have looked to them like the world was flooded and all this stuff.
I wonder if they will try to take that angle, or make the whole thing something metaphorical.

The movie will be a straightforward end-of-the-world story with more characterization and fantasy elements. The world will be entirely flooded.

While I find the story to be utterly ridiculous to anyone who uses simple logic, this movie does look pretty good. I love just about everything from mythology. The Passion of the Christ was a weak movie but I loved the cinematography. I honestly wish there was more Biblical movies.

I really hope Aronofsky goes with traditional special effects like he did in a The Fountain. That movie had gorgeous, traditional special effects.

Saw the trailer today. It looks like it could be alright. I will give it watch.

There is no slow down on Gravity the movie. It is now top 100 movies of all-time worldwide ( $577+ million and growing). Thor Dark World has also joined top 100 movies as well ($548+ million). It is amazing news considering the fact that Thor has reached half-billion dollars in only two weeks (three if you included international). I'm curious to see how it hold up within the next few weeks against The Hunger Games II. According to IGN.com, The Hunger Games Catching Fire has reached a whopping $307 million in only three days and already half way of it previous movie ($691 million which sitting at #61 of all-time worldwide).

My prediction on final total of money on movies:

Gravity: ~$600 million
Thor Dark World: ~$800 million. (I'll be extremely shocked if it ever reaches $1 billion)
The Hunger Games Catching Fire: ~$900 million

Cannot wait to see what kind of numbers (money) The Hobbit II will hit next month (It'll be another billion dollars, I'll bet!)

I don't know why but I hate inflation. Doesn't seem fair, eh? I don't know.

EDIT: Like for example: Gone with the Wind. None of any movies in the entire world can be able to overcome the total cost of what Gone With The Wind got. But at that time, it was so cheap! Like, what? 40 cent? I think that's the reason why it's so easy to rack up so much money, when using inflation, compare to today's movies.

It's the only movie from it's time to not only be over $1 billion via inflation, but the only other movie that comes close to it was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and that made $800 million via inflation. Everything else in the top 20 are at least a decade apart. To be fair, movies that were pre-80s would have longer and multiple runs in the theaters. However, if you take out stuff pre-1980, only Avatar would end up in the top 10 of all time box office records after inflation.
