well i was off to shoot my mouth about the thread. I must apologies to @Plainview , I just see a lot of thread get merged into other forums and then people have no interest to go there.

P.V. seems like good people. He's got you straightened out. But I agree with placing certain thread topics in the multi forum. Just not a nice place to visit.

Oh my god...another f***ing Destiny thread. I am completely lost now.

Been playing the beta for a good chunk of the day! Totally hooked! Played co-op with my daughter and once we figure out how to actually chat with each other will be even better. Played some solo for awhile and joined a team for a fight and had a blast with that and I'm not a multiplayer person!

I haven't tried the co-op yet. Been playing through solo, and Im hooked as well. Accidently got involved in a public event, and got destroyed lol. The public events are cool though, lets complete strangers come together and play a little co-op.

I cant wait to start going to other places in the solar system. The Moon is calling me from the navigation map. Gonna be a hard month and a half waiting on it to release. I just wonder if they will slow down the player progression in the full game. In the Beta, it seems like you level up after every story mission. The level cap is 20 in the final game. If its as quick as the beta, people will be max level in no time.

Really because I'm a lvl 8 warlock and it feels for ever to get to lvl 9.

Beside that there have to be some crafting because I have broken down items.

I know, just seeing the Moon there and waiting I was disappointed that we couldn't go there yet. I am hoping that the full game is similar with the Beta where even after you reach the level cap your abilities still level up beyond that. Will still feel like you are leveling but without the number rising. I can't resist those public events, every time one pops up I go running to it. Did one that after we beat the giant tank creature everyone started dancing!! Cracked me up!!

Looking at my Grimoire on Bungie.net, it looks like there are only 6 locations in the game. I see Earth, The City, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn.

Looks like there will be 4 Crucible Arenas. It appears that one of the Crucibles purposes is to gain Reputation with different factions in The City. There appears to be 4 factions in the City. I have 3 of the 4 faction cards in my Grimoire. The faction cards I have are, Future War Cult, Dead Orbit, and The New Monarchy.

There are 3 kinds of special damage types that weapons can have. Thermal, Void, and Arc. There are 6 weapon types. I don't have cards for them all. But the ones I do have, and have seen, are Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, and Hand Cannons, , no idea what the other 3 are. There are 3 Special Weapon types. Shotguns, Fusion Rifles, and Sniper Rifles. There are 2 Heavy Weapon types. Rocket Launchers, and Machine Guns. There are 18 different Grenade Abilities.

I'll likely be getting the game pending what some friends are doing. I liked it but my biggest concern is that the world does seem a bit empty and lack of variety/repetitiveness. My assumption is that chat will be fixed but has been a huge downer so far....especially in this type of game. I also didn't like the enemy respawn timer/variety. Sometimes I'd go around a corner and come back and the enemies I just killed had already respawned. I guess with other users coming and going to all different areas in the same session, it makes sense but breaks immersion quite a bit. Also, certain "mission" or "boss battles" are cheapened a bit when you go back in an "Explore" mission and the same dudes are there (i.e. Wizard in the satellite building). I killed him on the mission and it was supposed to be a big deal but then I go back on Explore and he's there with his cronies again (with only a slight variation). Would be nice if it "remembered" I killed him and to change up the enemy variation. Maybe I'm expecting too much? Just seemed to get a bit repetitive especially in the Explore mission.

Does this game actually have space combat and/or exploration? If not, seems like a missed opportunity. The space fighter missions in Halo Reach were a highlight IMO.

I do like the special abilities and such and leveling that stuff up and weapons is fun. Funny thing is with the gameplay, I think I'm spoiled by Titanfall....moves so much faster/agile and I find myself wanting all FPS to follow that model of movement. Not that it's bad in Destiny....on par with other FPS games/Halo. In fact, right now, looking more forward to new TF DLC than Destiny.

I posted this video in the X1 videos thread. But it would be appropriate here too.

I can't believe we're getting a game as amazing as Destiny in the first year of this generation. I'm having a blast and it's only a beta! This gen is going to be awesome.

My Grimoire only shows 6 locations(I posted them above), but the About Destiny page on Bungie.net also mentions Mars, and Venus. So I don't know now.

A little about the enemies-

Fallen Dreg
These relentless thieves seem driven by desperation and rage. They are crafty, but they usually give up their cover with their clattering and hissing. Most seem outfitted with some kind of shock dagger and pistol, and as far as we can gather, they seem to only have two arms, while other Fallen have four.

Fallen Vandal
The truths about the Fallen chain-of-command are still making themselves known, but Vandals appear to hold a higher ranking than the Dregs, and deadlier weapons, too. They often have long range capability, but, lucky for us, their weapons take time to charge.

Fallen Captain
Fallen run in packs, led by an individual Captain. There is no denying a Captain's might; they are the fiercest of the Fallen. There is this sense of tattered nobility to them. You can see it in the way they carry themselves. They think they're better than us. They believe that Earth belongs to them

Cabal
It's been years since they first made their presence known at the Twilight Gap. While early reports have them centered on or around Mars, the true might of the Cabal is still wrapped in speculation. Awaiting more reports from the Vanguard.

What does it mean when you have a Grimoire card but it shows an X and just says [Redacted] on the back?

Im not sure about that either. Maybe Bungie is trying to keep some things secret until the full game comes out, thats all I can figure.:really:

I tried out some multiplayer, I really suck at it and am always at the bottom. Seems like I'm getting killed before I even see who is shooting at me! Still was fun to get to see some of the Moon and Venus!! In the Russia map I was doing some exploring and followed a path that went under a cave tunnel and there were some of the leveled up guys with the question marks for their level and you can't dent their health no matter how you try. Well, I was curious to see what was there so I bolted past them and started doing that super jump thing to climb up the ledge behind them. Came across some big huge, purple weapon thing and ran by that and then into a cave. Didn't get too far into that because it was filled with a ton of the untouchable enemies and I got killed quick. Was fun and interesting to see there will be more to the Russian map than what we got to play and I can't wait to see what that big purple thing is all about!!

Man those Legendary weapons that the Vanguard Quartermaster sells are awesome. I cant wait to get the full game, and start working towards getting them. I wonder if there are other weapon & armor grades besides common, uncommon, and legendary.

The more I play the beta, the more I realize the depth the full game will have. Im not all that impressed with the PvP right now, but with factions to join, PvP exclusive weapons, bounties, and different playlists Im not ready to give up hope for it just yet. Im sold on the campaign though. I would buy the game just to play through it alone.

I think Destiny might just be Bungie's finest effort yet. Okay, not as great as Halo: CE but let's give it up.

Might be best to wait for the final product. It is a nice BETA, though.

The Explore mission in the beta is actually pretty cool. The missions actually take you all over map if you keep doing them. I played on it for about 2 hours straight tonight. I saw places in Old Russia that I didn't even know were there, the map is freakin huge. Although the missions are basically collect this, survey that, scout this area, and kill so many baddies in variety, in my 2 hours I never noticed the beacons repeating in their locations, and dialog.

Ive found 2 caves so far. One I had to survey for a mission, and the other I discovered on my own. The one I had to survey was basically just 2 rooms with lvl 9 baddies in them. The other one had an opening, and when you went inside, there was an open hole in the floor. I jumped through the hole, my flashlight came on, and I was in another room with a smaller hole in the middle of the floor, it was pitch black when I tried to look down the hole. lol I chickened out, I had a really bad feeling about that second hole.

So far Ive found 2 places that were filled with high level baddies. One place was one of those small square, blue, garage looking buildings(like the one you scan to get you Sparrow in the story mission). It had stairs in it. I went down 3 or 4 flights of stairs until my flashlight came on. I went through a room or 2, and then ran into about 5 lvl 18 Acolytes. They instantly killed me. The other place was a rusted out ship. Like the other place it took me down several flights of stairs until my flashlight came on. I went into a darkened room, and ran into a load of baddies with ??? for their level. They chased me back to the stairs, and I was able to escape.
