Upon hearing that the next game takes place in Britain and will maybe have dragons I'm getting more excited. If they can take this game from a kind of down to earth start to something more mysterious and fantastical I'm definitely in! The vid where the scenes come up through the Colosseum floor look really cool. Got this coming from gamefly day one. Visually it does look very nice.

I get the feeling that the story is already going to contain a bit of mystery/fantasy to it. I don't know if you have been following the digital comic up until now, but there is definitely a sense of something deeper than what has been shown to us thus far.

Personally I am very interested in this title.. i think once it hits, people will be surprised. Not that I have "insider" knowledge or anything, I just have a feeling this game is going to leave a mark.

Have you seen Vikings the tv series, at least the first episode? If you have, you may have an idea of what Ryse's mythological side may contain.

I think we just need a new trailer showing off an improved version of the game. We are around 60 days from launch for all these launch games and we have seen next to nothing.

Now that I'm picking up both consoles day one, this will be one of the first few games I get on X1.

I don't think 900p upscaled to 1080p is that big a deal, it won't be noticeable to the majority of people. Some people at other forums are losing there minds over it. Remember when PGR3 launched with the 360 and it was 600p upscaled to 720p? A few years later PGR 4 came out looking better and running at a higher res.

The developers had to target a resolution with good frame rate earlier on and 900p fits the bill. Perhaps we will see 1080p for Ryse 2.

Seriously!!! 900p WTF! The Xb1 is just getting worse IMO.... So in 5 years time we will back down to sub 720p then huh. I am disappointed.

900p sounds odd but the game still looks very good graphically. My guess is being a port of a 360 game played a part?

Halo 5 900p 45fps confirmed :tounge:

But in all seriousness I think MS forgot they were building a games console until the last minute and decided to chuck in a low end, bog standard GPU. If only 1 launch game is pushing 1080p (with pre-baked lighting) then it doesn't bode well for the future of the console.

Maybe you are just...over reacting?

As I said its a game that spent most of its time as a 360 game. A Kinect one at that.

Meh who cares, many upon many people have been saying that anyone expecting 1080p to be a standard were going to be disappointed.

yep, exactly. starts @ 83% of 1080p for a launch title and just falls off a cliff for the years to come. xb1 is dead on arrival...

That and I'm sure most don't even notice/care unless someone tells the,.

Nah I'm just getting disappointed with the XB1 and it hasn't even come out yet. I was hoping that most games were going to be 1080p(30fps) or 720p(60fps) with this new gen. If Crytek had to drop the res than the XB1 isn't as spicy as they like to make out. Ryse still looks good but I'm 100% sure they confirmed it as 1080p a few months ago :txbconfused:

You have to remember that this is a title that has been built around moving hardware specs......plus a transition from 360 to Xbox1......it looks amazing.........

Keep the faith and Microsoft will amaze you
